Angel took her sunglasses and looked almost uncaring at Gearo. "I thought I was clear earlier. I am not staying out of this. Archeron was my brother and I AM finding the Grail." She listened to Gearo's threats. "You threaten me again, and I will take you apart, piece by piece." She placed her sunglasses back over her eyes and checked the remains of the demons that she and Gearo had felled. When she turned back to offer another piece of her mind, Gearo had left. "@sshole." She muttered. Luckily, she had a habit of being able to track down anyone. But first she would need some stuff. She disappeared before reappearing in the large super high tech room that was home to DAWN, the futuristic artificial intelligence who mostly dealt with the analysis of demonic presence and warning of their approach. Luckily, DAWN could also do a high number of other things. "DAWN, you still got a lock on that supernatural aura?"
"Yes, Angel. Did you discover what it was?" The AI asked.
"It's someone who knows where the Grail is." Angel replied, before snatching up a discarded shotgun. "And God help me, I'm going to find it."
"I believe Gearo informed you to stay out of it." Now DAWN seemed a little smug.
"Bolthead can tell me to do anything he wants." Angel snapped. "Doesn't mean I'll listen to him."
"You sound just like him." Stanford chuckled lightly, walking to her side. "Like Gearo, I mean. He too had a problem with orders. Mainly Archeron's I believe." The old man smiled. "So do what he did to Archeron. Tag along, no matter what he says." The butler pointed at the screen. "Now get out there and find that Grail! Oh, and if you aren't too busy, bring me back a souvenir." Angel nodded, holstered her handguns and slung a bow across her back, with a holster of arrows. "Personally, I think Archeron's a better marksman than you, but who can say really."
Angel made a rude hand gesture and teleported. "Demons." Stanford shuddered. Angel reappeared in her main "hunting ground". While Gearo tracked down the Grail his way, she would do the same. The bow was in her hand, an arrow nocked to the string as she strode purposefully towards the nearest house. It looked normal, but it was a demon nest. Whenever Angel needed information she hit this place first. She eased the door open a few inches and loosed off the first shaft. It slapped into a demons throat, and the iron arrowhead set him alight. Every demon in the room whirled around, and a dozen hollow point rounds blew into the door. It would have crippled Angel, had she still been there. After firing the first arrow, she had teleported onto the rafters. Taking aim at her next target, she fired, and leaped down. The demon disintergrated as Angel's foot connected with another's cheek. A powerful boot twisted the thing's head around with a vicious snap.
There was fighting for approximately ten minutes. Angel was untouched, and she had immobilised all of the demons other than the three she had killed. "Where's the Holy Grail?" She snarled viciously. The demon shook his head. "How noble." She drew the SIG-Sauer P220 and fired an iron round into his skull. "I can do this all night, but I don't want to kill you. Now I'll ask again. Where. Is. The Grail?" One of the demons screamed. "We don't know, you psycho b!tch!" Angel shook her head. "Who does?" she said softly. "One-Eyed Dave." He answered. "Thanks, honey." Angel said, removing a small device from her pocket and placing it on the floor. "What's that?!" He asked, terrified. "Iron fragmentation bomb." She answered. "Thanks again. I'll see you around. Or not." She started the timer, which began counting down from 30. She crept out of the room at ten, and was halfway down the street when the screams of dying demons reached her ears.
The demon One-Eyed Dave wasn't really one-eyed, it was simply that one of his eyes could be removed. He took it out and looked into it now. He saw glimpses of the future. Wings, metal, a female demon standing over him. "Put your eye back in, Dave." Angel said flatly. That wasn't the future, it was just reflected in his eye! He stood and turned to her, popping the eyeball back into it's socket. "And what can Dave do ya for?" He said, his voice slick as oil. Angel's fist collided with his face. "Tell me where the Grail is." The demon stood up and brushed himself off. "And what does Dave get for this?" Angel leaned in close. "Tell me and I won't kill you." Dave smiled and popped the eyeball out. "Focus. Focus on the Holy Grail." Pictures whirled through the surface of the eye. "I see a metal man. He is talking in Hyde Park. Talking with another who knows the exact location." The eyeball became dark again, but only for a moment. "The return of one. A demon, returning as an angel!" The eye lost its colour. "I can't tell you the location, but someone. Someone attached to you is returning to this world. And the robot's meeting takes place at noon." Angel started running and checked her watch. It was 11:04. She needed to wait, and confront Gearo after his meeting.
