Origin and backstory

In an age long past, in many battles, when cold steel and gold ruled the world, one stood. Bloodied from the slain people of his home, his soul stained by the trials of combat and tainted beyond ascension, he chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous rage he found no peace; and with boiling blood he scoured many lands seeking vengeance against the demon who had wronged him. Those that tasted the bite of his sword named him... Drusus.

The death of his Tribe:

Drusus hails from a mysterious and mountainous land now known as "The Dead Lands" that stood far north of Ancient Rome. His people's barbaric tribe had no true name or title, as they cared little for such things. Instead, they dedicated their lives to becoming godless warriors, their entire culture revolving around a life of combat and survival. Drusus was said to be one of the last children born in his tribe, as a strange plague of infertility struck it's people, this proved to be a deadly omen of their collective fate years later.

The boy had an average upbringing of anyone in the tribe, quickly trained with a sword the moment he could walk on his own two feet. His adolescence was marked with trial after trial to become a proper man, if he failed these trials, he would have been left to die where he laid.

At the age of sixteen, Drusus and his tribe were brutally attacked by some supernatural threat that was unfathomable in it's nature. The tribe didn't even get to fight this threat before it maimed and defiled every member present in the mountains, their blood stripped from their very veins in an instant. Drusus was the sole survivor, due to being away on an excursion for resources down below the mountains. He would return to the aftermath of the massacre, standing among his slain brothers and sisters as the remaining member of an extinct tribe.

While he didn't know it the, he knows it now. The demon responsible for taking his people's lives was none other than the Blood Demon, Blodam. He vowed that very day to find Blodam, and utterly destroy him for what he did.

The wandering Barbarian:

Drusus didn't waste a single day in leaving the mountains, having no reason to stay there any longer. From there, he set out into the open world, and very quickly became a notorious warrior in his countless exploits and adventures. While his days were filled with intrigue, battle, women, gold and monster, his objective always remained the same even decades later. To find the demon Blodam, and vanquish him...

Powers and abilities

The embodiment of mortal strength:

Drusus' most notable and most used feature is his almost inhuman strength. His body is comprised of nothing but pure, sculpted muscle. It's a result of utilizing every inch of his body for combat and survival on a daily basis for his entire life. Simply put, there is no feat of strength Drusus can't perform that is within the limitations of a mortal man. He stands at the very top of physical perfection. The barbarian is capable of running to match the speed of gazelles, and keep up that speed for an impressive amount of time.

The strikes of his bare fists are enough to completely crush a man's skull from it's sheer weight. His strength is to the point where he can bend metal bars with ease, and tackle stone pillars when he actually gives a damn.

His endurance is just as comparable, as nothing seems to slow Drusus down for long. He has been shot with arrows, slashed at the arms, legs broken, eyes swollen shut. Any injury won't spawn so much as a small grunt from him. Even while on the mend from these wounds, Drusus can still continue at near peak performance for a sustained amount of time.

Master of weapons and combat:

Coupled with his legendary strength, Drusus is known throughout history as one of the greatest swordsman to have ever lived. His training started at such an early age, he knew how to slay a man before even learning how to speak. There are far too many examples to count, as Drusus has been in literally thousands of battles and skirmishes in his lifetime, and lived through them all. Swords, spears, maces, mauls, daggers, knives, chains, bows, lances, halberds, axes, branches, clubs, hammers shields, bones, poisons, darts and many more. Drusus can effectively pick any martial weapon and use it to it's utmost capability.

Drusus in his element

Of course, Drusus still prefers a greatsword to any other weapon.

What makes him such a deadly opponent that stands out, is his ability to wield absurdly heavy and large swords effectively with one hand. With a greatsword in his grasp, Drusus will literally cut through dozens of men in minutes. This is due to his people developing their very own fighting style for wielding large swords, an art that is almost like a savage dance when utilized properly.

This is naturally accompanied with senses so sharpened and honed, they could belong to the very animals Drusus finds himself facing. His reflexes are staggeringly quick, and his coordination is that of an artist with the utmost finesse.
