Rise of a Neo-Mutant

This is basically a continuation of what happened to CE after his capture with Rise of the Neo-Mutants. Enjoy!

Tokyo-2014

The Crimson Eagle's eyes soon reverted to its natural green color. He began to breathe deeply out of fatigue. The hero's shoulders were still pinned to the wall by the bones but the battle was over. His body was numb so there was no way of communicating the CoP or anyone. He was alone. Alone with the neo-mutant. Ryan grew up to be a hero. Helping those who needed aid. He would be a silent hero. Ryan's name wouldn't be known in this world and his world wouldn't know of what happened. The Crimson Eagle lowered his head and let the toxins take over, paralyzing his body. After all he did for people, he was happy to die a hero.

Foot steps were heard, closing in on the paralyzed hero. What seemed to be bone-like tendrils wrapped around his body; giving it a shelled appearance. And soon a dark, chilling voice echoed.

"Let's have a look at those eyes..."

"You are indeed remarkable," Madros stated in his dark eerie tone. "It would take merely minutes to break the mind of my test subjects. But here you are, days later and still grasping upon will with your fingertips."

The hero's breath was raspy, his body unable to move from the torture, and his sight gone; all he could see was darkness and the feeling of bandages around his eyes. Ryan tried to form words but his mouth could only utter a small sound.

"Oh don't waste your energy young Eagle, you'll be needing it soon enough."

Madros slowly walked over to the computer and began writing his report regarding the experimentation.

Day 6: It seems the subject has finally succumbed to the toxins. Only time will tell if his body will grow to be immune to them. His eyes are of another matter. The subject's genetic code is remarkable, unlike anything I have ever seen. The code seems to be of two worlds which I can only conclude this occurrence through a fusion of some sort. It seems that each color change within the eye resulted with a different power emerging and it is conclusive it is because of the codons within the DNA to constantly flux. I have begun manipulating the codons to see what hidden powers can occur. Hmmm... it seems the subject is trying to speak. Time to return to the experiment.

Day 10: The wounds from the battle with my Neo-Mutant were much more severe than anticipated. The left labrum has been damaged beyond repair and therefore the arm could not be of use in battle; fortunately the amputation was successful and the transplant seems to be successful though inactive. Unfortunately that was the last of the vibranium I could salvage and I will need more if I want to continue with the experimentation.

Day 25: The contact has finally achieved the necessary amount of vibranium needed to continue with the experimentation; per policy he has been indisposed. Within the past fifteen days the subject has slowly adjusted to the modification of his arm, but his constant screaming is both satisfying and annoying.

Upon experimenting with the blood sample I extracted, it seems as if the subject was under the influence of a drug. It lies dormant within his system but it was there. I have successfully replicated and injected it onto subject M094; it granted the user immense strength and flight, although electricity seemed to negate its effects. A bolt of lightning completely hindered the drug and the user. I will modify this drug and see what effects it will have upon the main subject.

For record: I have decided to call the former hero Subject R. In memory of his identity.

Day 70: For the last few weeks I have been able to condition subject R as well as place subliminal messages. He remembers little of the past and soon he will be ready for the final experiment. Though broken, he remains faithful to remaining a Champion of Peace; the last words he uttered before succumbing to the electroshock therapy were "Champions" and "friends."

Day 89: The final experiment has begun. Though subject remains poignant with the last bit of memories he has left, I assumed the lack of anesthesia would finally take that out of his head. In order to adjust to the new additions, I have reconstructed his lattisimus dorsi and both the adjustments and additions proved successful. Tomorrow I will begin with the second phase of the experiment.

Day 128: Remarkable. It was expected that Subject R would adjust to his new additions quite nicely but what was unprecedented was the level of recovery and mastery over the skills. He is ready. My soldier is complete.

Madros stepped away from his computer, walking slowly toward the cell in which Subject R was housed. He placed his hand upon the scanner to the right and saw the door slide open before him. Alone stood the experiment in the light. He stood tall, and did not react at the sound of the footsteps.

Madros stopped and faced the back of his subject.

"Tell me my Neo-Mutant..." he said in his chilling voice, "Do you feel pain?"

No answer.

"What do you recall?"

No answer.

"Who is Ryan Candan?"

The experiment clenched his cybernetic fist, "My target."

Madros chuckled. "No. He is no one. Not anymore. Now tell me. Are you ready to be my soldier?

The sound of knives sharpening began to echo the room. Madros began to smile as the back of the man formerly known as Ryan Candan began to blossom like a flower, but its beauty was found only in the eyes of Madros, who saw the metal wings of his creature emerge. The mad scientist's smile grew as his soldier looked over his shoulder toward his creator; staring at him with blank eyes.
