    Moon Knight #1 1

GoodI mentioned in my review of Magneto #1 that I hadn’t really read ay X-men books. Well when compared to my knowledge of Moon Knight I’m an absolute X-men expert. I picked this book up based on the pre-release buzz and I’m really glad I did because I loved this book. The story opens with an excellent break down on who Moon Knight is. He’s a crazy person and while I was initially worried that this would make him a “Deadpool-esque” character, he seems much mo...

Moon Knights Back After His Ill Fated Trip To The City Of Angels. Can Warren Ellis Get Him Back On Track? 0

The GoodThe first word that comes to mind when describing Moon Knight #1 is cinematic. But I don't mean that in the sense of high octane explosions but rather this book has all the mood and style of a great crime thriller. It almost feels like you're reading an X-Files episode written by James Ellory. It's almost like a pilot episode for a TV-show (Imagine that, huh?). A big part of that is the amazing art by Declan Shalvey and the masterful colouring by Jordie Bellaire. Moon Knight or Mr. Knig...

    Not insane, just damaged! 1

When I first heard the Moon Knight announcement, I honestly didn't really care, not because that Moon Knight is a bad character or anything, but mainly because I haven't really been interested in him. I will admit that the creative team did raise my interest in the title but at the end of the day It was still either a hit or miss option for me, because as good as Ellis can be at times he can really make a sudden bad turn. A prime example of this would be the Avengers Endless Wartime graphic nov...

    Mr. Knight 1

From the first preview of this book I was craving more to read and this first issue definitely didn't disappoint. As a comic reader myself, I didn't really know a whole lot about the character Moon Knight himself. If you're starting this issue expecting an origin-like story there's really not a whole lot there for you, aside from a small paragraph somewhat catching you up. With this aside, you really don't need to know much about anything to be able to pick this book up, which is great! Warr...

    It's about time! 0

For me, this series has been a long time coming. I first discovered Moon Knight in the pages of Hulk, and have since gone back and read every one of his series. I can now say, without doubt, that Moon Knight is my favourite comic character. Sadly, his only worthy appearances since the acclaimed 2006 run were in the pages of Secret Avengers, the best of which were written by Warren Ellis himself. It's for this reason that I cried with joy (well, nearly) when I heard that he would be the one respo...

    It's Hyped For A Reason 0

Moon Knight has never been a character that interested me, feeling more like a knock-off Batman combined with a personality disorder one of the Batman villains likely has, and make him a little crazy for good measure, and I had little interest in what the series had to offer.Yet, after the overwhelming support for the series, I felt it would be in my best interests to at least give this issue a shot. And while it isn't the best thing since canned bread, it certainly is good at what it sets out t...

"He likes people to see him coming." Moon Knight, Marvel's awesomely cocky Batman. 0

Moon Knight is BACK with his own monthly title again! Written by Warren Ellis with artwork by Declan Shalvey and colors by Jordie Bellaire. The GoodYou'll be singing Justin Timberlake's Suit & Tie, you know it! Don't deny it! When there are characters released that resemble icons that have been around for years (i.e. in this case Moon Knight being similar to Batman); we sometimes look for the bad in the character as to why they shouldn't exist solely because of them having similar characteris...
