Marvel Cinematic Universe
Concept » Marvel Cinematic Universe appears in 146 issues.
Marvel's superhero movie continuity that is shared between several major character franchises.
Why did Captain Marvel pass $1B but Thor: Ragnarok didn't?
@amcu: ironically didn't ant-man and the wasp have more to do with endgame than Captain Marvel?
Probably.
Just pointing this out, just because a movie is a box office success doesn't mean its good movie, for example the transformers movie franchise (Bayformers) make a ton everytime they are release but every film gets worst & worst.
Infinity War and Endgame. IW closed with Captain Marvel’s beeper call, so film-goers knew that she would be an integral part of the sequel, Endgame. Plus, we should not underestimate the increased number of female ticket buyers since CM is the MCU’s first female hero solo movie. She is closing in on Wonder Woman’s domestic box office returns, and I believe those were elevated by strong female patronage. CM seems to be following in Diana’s footsteps, but with far greater international success.
That all is fake, Disney bought sit-tickets in order to artificially pump up Captain Marvel's box office:
Wake up and assimilate the true that Disney is cancer, all in name of an agenda, an SJW leftist socialist agenda, Disney was already long ago corrupted by ideological and political views, they won't provide you transparent quality anymore, they only ruin and destroy everything they buy, from Marvel to Starwars, the only thing you will ever find behind, is an indirect sort of indoctrination and brainwashing.
PS:
Say goodbye to some promising and original storyline, such a thing won't come back again when it comes to Marvel movies and in general, the film industry is already infested by the leftist socialists and liberal agenda, you want a change? then it's time to act.
1)It's a Marvel movie 600 million
2)Female lead movie 200 million
3)CM Looks cool with her powers 200 million
4)Endgame hype and the movie do not suck = rest of the money.
Thor does not have the first marvel female superhero factor.
New character that'll be in Avengers Endgame + no competition + huge marketing to feminists (marketing was aggressive overall) + strength of Marvel brand post-Infinity War & Venom
Thor Ragnarok was just carried by WoM from what I heard.
Unfortunately, the guy 4 posts above me believes in what he's saying.
Marvel's first female solo, strongest marvel superhero, connection to endgame, captain marvel looking cool in the trailers = 1 billion
This is totally unfair because Ragnarok was good enough to cross a billion. Probably people would have lost trust in Thor because of past movies so they wouldn't have watched it
I mean, the story/writing/acting doesn’t justify it being a billion dollar movie imo, that said 5 things to consider; 1) It’s a cbm 2) It’s a MARVEL Studios cbm 3) It’s MARVEL Studios 1st female lead feature film 4) It’s heavy on action/CGI, and 5) It’s a lead into Endgame, the biggest movie of the year (perhaps 2nd biggest if you consider EP IX), but certainly the biggest cbm event of all-time to date.
@mazahs117: Endgame is bigger than Star wars ep 9
IW hype help boost CM sales/popularity.
