    Bette Kane was the Pre-Crisis Bat-Girl and the niece of Kathy Kane (Batwoman). Post-Crisis she became Mary Elizabeth “Bette” Kane, AKA Flamebird. She is the younger cousin of both the current Batwoman, Kate Kane, and Bruce Wayne. In the New 52, her superhero identity changed to Hawkfire.

    Do you think Bette will show up as Flamebird on Young Justice?

    I hope so, but I'm not sure due to the number of characters the series has to deal with right now...

    as of the first episode of the second season, a lot of former classmates had become heroes (Mal Duncan, Bumblebee, Batgirl) and due to the time skip, there was at least 8 designations unaccounted for....since Barbara was friends with Bette, I would find it likely that she was one of the missing designations

    I hope she does show up. But I want to point out Babs and Bette went to a different school than Bumblebee, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Mal.

    I don't think that matters, she did after all go to school with the Bat family and Artemis.

    But by that logic, everyone in that school should be super heroes. Again I want her to be flamebird, but i also doubt they'll do it.

    @batshrine: That's not accurate. Most of the people at the school aren't named; Bette is and they could easily have given her any name.

    I wonder if Bette became a superhero and then died in between the first and second seasons. They promised us that not everyone would survive, then said that the person who died would die in the video game, which was set in the interim period. All of the main characters are still present in the main series, though, so it could be Bette. I really hope not, though.
