Social Media. Keep it or Ditch it?

As much as I have my issues with them, no I don't think we should ditch them. Maybe regulate them somehow a bit better? I don't know if this even can be done though.

Ditch it, start over. Current social media is a cancer on society, everyone is affected but especially the younger generations.

Sure it's good that it allows people to connect but we could do that before with phones. Social media has gone beyond that, and now it's just a platform for ideological propagandists and rediculous posts detailing what someone had for breakfast.

Not saying he doesn't but on the other hand, there will always be people out there abusing something to get a point across or to their advantage. If not social media, then they will find something else. And don't get me wrong, I'm not a social media fan or anything but I can't deny that there are good things about them.

Plus they have become a part of people's everyday lives so much at this point where ditching them is not really possible. They are either going to die on their own or be replaced by something else.

Keep it but modify it

Theoretically ditch it, but in reality it's like sugar, everyone should be able to make their own decisions about keeping it or ditching it in their lives.

Let people choose if they want it or not.

If u allow urself or your life to be controlled/effected in any way by your phone you deserve it

I'm not ditching social media... Platforms like LinkedIn are actually beneficial to use.

I've ditched most except for Youtube since I have a channel and Twitter/X for a few friends and updates on movies, games etc. I still have FB but that's only for family to be honest. Tic Tok especially now is the worst...

Ditched. From what I’ve seen it’s doing more harm than good. This is whole “everyone can be famous” movement took a turn for the worse
