I don't know about you other viners, but I'm am so sick of these carbon copy Steven Speilberg productions based around aliens that he keeps putting out. From the first time ET to War of the Worlds, to working on Super 8 and now a TV series called Falling Skies, Speilberg doesn't seem to have any fresh plans. War of the World was lame, Super 8 was mediocre, and I'd bet money this tv series doesn't last more than a season. So for the sake of your reputation as a visionary film maker, please Mr. Speilberg stop with the alien shtick!!!
Mr. Speilberg! Please stop making Alien themed productions!!!

I'm a dude when it comes to movies and show (for the most part). I love me some action and explosions. This looks like it's gonna have awesome action, plus it has Noah Wylie and Moon Bloodgood.
haha Moon Bloodgood. Greatest name EVER. Maybe I'll check it out, I don't know though, gotta get back on the Wire.@texasdeathmatch said:

Speilberg seems to have come down with a wicked case of George Lucas Syndrome: he had some early, arguably accidental masterpieces, but success tends to eliminate the angst which drives so many good movies. Like the aging warrior who has long since vanquished all his real foes, his skills atrophy and his sword arm slows. His current work lacks the desperate energy of a young filmmaker literally gambling his career on a risky, creative venture. He goes back over his old work, trying to emulate the style and recapture some of what everyone loved about it, but it comes across as too neat, too polished, less a piece of artwork and more a product to sit on the shelf, merchandised and branded to death.
@Emperor Gonzo Noir: Watch the Goonies, Close Encounters and Jaws you'll have virtually the same experienceWhat a coincidence, I own all of those. : D

@joshmightbe: Does Super 8 have a Chunk character in it?No, that would make the film too awesome for words.

Super 8 was an excellent film. It flowed well and had an old school "kids on an adventure" feel to it. The editing was great and the music was fantastic. J.J. Abrams and Speilberg do their jobs well.
Indeed, it was a good homage to the 80's style of films.
I might give it a chance. When does the pilot air?@texasdeathmatch said:

Hes just putting his name on everything. Theres not way hes putting much effort into anything. He sees good scripts and okays them for him to produce. Hes just making money off of them. Why wouldnt he produce alien movies? They make a sh*t ton of money so hes making a sh*t ton of money. As for JJ Abrams, hes a piece of trash. The people that like him are the same people that are obsessed with everything Mac.
