What is Reeve Superman's combat speed?

Because I've heard his feat of going around the globe dozens and dozens of times in one second in a lot of battles but I've never seen a combat speed feat used.

And someone said he was taken out by electricity or something once how true is that?

Another question is which live action Superheroes from the MCU or DCEU do you think would hurt or register to him?

His combat speed is stupid slow.

@richubs: the same as his travel speed.

Visually speaking his combat is obviously awfully slow and choreographed. The fights in those movies are prehistoric. But from a realistic perspective I’m sure he was supposed to have incredible reflexes.

@richubs: Maybe the speedsters could keep up with him, I’m not sure. Guys like Hulk shouldn’t be able to, if Superman is serious.

@richubs: you don’t get to see it because that movie is full os PIS. If you have not watched it, I won’t spoil it but had he used his speed earlier than he would not even had to go back in time.

If he doesn't use it regularly when it's necessary but only for the one scene it would be an outlier I think.

Superhuman. He casually caught a bullet. He looks slow in fights presumably because the movies were made in the 70s/80s.

@richubs: It isn't necessarily an outlier so much as it was the first time. Supe's speed wasn't overly emphasized until that point. After that scene, you began to see it highlighted more in all supes media.

He has reacted and caught a bullet without even looking at it. He was fighting against Nuclear Man at hypersonic speeds across the planet. He has reacted to and dodged dozens of missiles being fired at him at the same time in Superman 3. He has also reacted to telekinesis lasers fired by other Kryptonians. You could also make the argument that he could perceive at the same speed as his travel speed, because as he was reversing time at FTL speeds, he smiles and looks down as Earth starts to revert back to before Lois Lane died, indicating that he could perceive what was going on as he was flying.

it's not an outlier. it's just so that the rest of the movie can happen. he could also have done something with the time travel to save everyone instead of just saving lois. it's just PIS like everything else.
