@jb681131: The Live action version of 101 Dalmatians is more recognizable then the original animated version?

It is not an ordered list. Lost of Disney animated movies would certainly make the top of an ordered list, but it is hard to classify these things.

Ok i see..Good point..Why did you choose the live action version to be your list in the first place? It seems a bit out of place compared to the other films on your list.
Rear Window ( one of my favorite movies of all time)
LOTR trilogy( superb fantasy)
Civil War(the comic book movie I have waited for)
The Winter Soldier(the fighting)
TDK(superb villain)
Matrix trilogy(awesome story)
Sin City(just awesome art)
Shawshank Redemption(friendship)
Léon(antihero)
Whiplash(because of my own musical background)
There you go...
@jb681131: I can't imagine the live action version of 101 being as recognizable as the others. Seems like an outlier.

Well, show it to anyone, and the person will be able to name the movie. Maybe not give you details of the movie.
Show Matrix to my grand-parents and they won't have a clue what they're looking at. Or show Pretty Woman to any kids/teens they won't have clue either.
A recognizable movie, is a movie you see it, you know what the story is mainly about. A most recognizalbe move, is when many generations and categories of people can recognize the movie.
@mindleech: sounds like you just said movies you like, rather than recognizable. But I also really like whiplash

Yea i wholeheartedly agree with your definition of most recognizable films..But the live action version never gave off that vibe to me..The cartoon sure..It seems based on my personal experience that most people have seen the cartoon and barely know about the live action films existence..This is especially true among young people born during and after the 90s..The situation might be completely different in the UK though..Where the opposite might be true.
@jumpstart55: I don't know which is more popular where, but the cartoon is much older, and they even made a 102 dalmatians live action movie. Just to mention.

Fair enough i guess..Besides the animated film which was my first introduction into the 101 Dalmatians canon..I was aware of the 102 film way before the 96 live action films..lmao..So i guess it all depends.
