@death4bunnies: Why it would kill Cull? Based on the GIF (as I haven't seen NWH yet) the portals closed next to Peter and caused a shockwave. Wong's portal closed right on Cull's arm.

OT: Peter should tank the Power Stone blast that Thanos used against Mirror Dimension. There's no evidence that that particular blast was really powerful though as Thanos wasn't going all out on Titan and even Mantis could survive a blast from Power Stone.

I believe the way the portals close on Pet surpasses that, and he’s hanging off the side of one before that.. plus the mirror dimension smash effect, Cull gets cut IMO.

Mirror Dimension Gate is simply a portal, looking like a mirror. If you put your hand inside of it your hand will enter the mirror dimension. You don't have to force to enter mirror dimension, like cracking it

So Thanos used the power stone blast and it simply entered the Mirror Dimension from portal, I don't think this is a durability feat for the portal, like it didn't stop the blast, but moved it to another dimension. I also think Thanos used also reality stone with power stone when he was destroying the mirror dimension portal but we didn't see, because it has nothing with the power, but more like destroying a portal that allows you to enter a new portion of reality. So simply both Spider-Man and the power stone beam entered a new dimension from the portal.

For the first gif, I don't know how powerful that explosion, so I can't say anything.

Judging from special effects ( speculating/guessing because it wasn't explained ) i guess this thing in IW was sth different like barrier because Stephen could move it then power stone cracked it. How can you crack portal with raw power BFRing you ?
