This will be my Respect Thread for Barbara Gordon, Batgirl. Barbara is the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon and is a member of the Bat family (if she's officially, then I think she should be considered a Bat cousin at the very least). Barbara was shot in the hip by the Joker which damaged her spine, preventing her from walking for a very long time and stopping all of her work as Batgirl. Since getting the use of her legs back, Barbara has wasted no time in jumping back into the cowl to protect the innocent people of her neighborhood. She is an extremely smart young woman but operates out of her van, keeping her Bat suit and gear inside of it before it all burned down (which is why the change in outfits from dark black to purple). Barbara is a caring friend, a smart detective, an extremely strong willed individual, and a very attractive woman. Respect her!

Bio

Training/Skill

In a small flashback sequence, we see that Babs took ballet and a form of self-defense class when she was younger, further helping with her conditioning, core strength, and flexibility. - (Batgirl Issue #00)
Babs later mentions that she's been taking self defense since she was six, because she was the daughter of the police commissioner and there was always that chance that she would be targeted for abduction. - (Batgirl Issue #00)
Before any training with Batman and going off of just what she learned in self defense class, Barbara dons a batsuit that was in the police station and beats the crap out of Harry with the help the help of two wooden batons. During the fight she didn't take one hit, and when Batman arrives, he's impressed. - (Batgirl Issue #00)
After that, Batman took Barbara under his wing and trained and worked with her for a whole year. - (Batgirl Issue #00)
When Barbara arrives at one of the Penguin's auctions, she is immediately grabbed by two women while a man charges at her. She kicks out at the man and then brings her arms down to the ground to knock out the two women who grabbed her, and still is able to kick the gun out of Ev's hand as she aims it at her. - (Birds of Prey issue #00)
She also firsts meets Black Canary at this auction, and manages to score a good hit against her before countering Ev's surprise attack from behind. Canary by her own admission was most likely underestimating Barbara, though. - (Birds of Prey Issue #00)

Barbara actually outperforms Nightwing in a friendly spar, but it's clear that Nightwing wasn't intent on really hurting her. - (Batgirl Issue #03)
Barbara knocks out a man with three strikes, one of them being what appeared to be a nerve strike to the face, and she did so while her back was turned and her attention was on another guy. - (Batgirl Issue #08)
Barbara catches a chain thrown at her on her arm, pulls on the chain, and then oneshots the guy who tried to whip her with it. - (Batgirl Issue #10)
While in a skirmish with Kartharsis, a member of the Disgraced, Barbara manages to clip her grapple hook to her opponent's belt, so when they separated on the ground and Katharsis tried to fly away, Barbara easily zipped up to her position and landed a clean uppercut to her chin. - (Batgirl Issue #10)
Barbara takes on three members of the Disgraced, Katharsis, Bleak Michael, and Bonebreaker. She takes out Katharsis and Bleak Michael early on in the fight with two batarangs, dodges an attack from Bonebreaker and sets up a small explosive batarang under her foot, takes out Bleak Michael with a kick after he recovers, and then knees Katharsis in the face after she recovers and gets in a cheapshot on Babs. When she attacks Bonebreaker, however, she realizes just how strong she is and is captured. - (Batgirl Issue #11)
Barbara easily subdues Detective McKenna by pinning her arm behind her back. - (Batgirl Issue #11)
Barbara is able to analyze how Batwoman is fighting and is able to predict two of the moves she would do next, a knee or a headbutt, and she called the headbutt because that's exactly what Batwoman did. - (Batgirl Issue #12)
In her rematch against the Disgraced, Barbara manages to basically defeat both Michael and Kartharsis on her own and nearly defeat Bonebreaker as well, but she called in her backup in the form of Detective McKenna and Batwoman in order to confront Knightfall. - (Batgirl Issue #12)
Batgirl stomps some of Joker's thugs when they try to break into her apartment and she does so four hours after being stabbed in the side by a knife that reached all the way to her liver and cut it. - (Batgirl Issue #13) and end of 12 for stab

(Batgirl Issue #15) Barbara takes down Joker with three punches, one to his kidney, one to his liver, and one to his spine:

(Batgirl Issue #18) Barbara fights and takes down Firebug in a short hand-to-hand bout. For context, earlier that day Barbara had already fought Firebug and was hit with a small grenade, a flamethrower, and then had a building fall on her as another explosion destroyed the room she was in. She had just patched herself up with a first aid kit in her van before heading out and fighting Firebug. It's highly likely Firebug was ex-military:

(Batgirl Issue #19) Even though it's raining and even though she has a concussion, Babs was able to throw her Razor Batarang fast enough to hit her brother through the eye before he could kill her mother when he had her as a hostage:

(Batgirl Issue #23) Barbara jumps down through a window into a room full of eight armed ganbangers, takes one of by jumping on him from above, and manages to take out five of them before her dad's cops came and forced two to leave. As a bonus, she did this without her batsuit:

(Batgirl Issue #24) Barbara, despite having armed cops aim their guns at her, manages to take out about five of them and maneuver in a way that prevented any of the surrounding cops from getting a clear shot on her:

(Batgirl Issue #26) Barbara uses a small hallway, her smoke pellets, and her explosive batarangs to disorient and then get the better of the Disgraced in her father's house. She ducked a punch from Bonebreaker and caused it to hit Mirror, then kicked away Grotesque's arm so that he fired his lightning at Bonebreaker instead of her, to name a few of the moves she did. The rest of the fight is off-panel after it cuts to Jim Gordon knocking down Bleak Michael and putting up a portable bat signal:

(Batgirl Issue #32) Barbara defeats five armed men, three with an energy gun, one with a crowbar, and one with a knife, and she defeats four of them before the police could show up:

(Batgirl Issue #39) Barbara spars with Black Canary using a staff as a weapon and shows great proficiency with it:

(Batgirl Rebirth Issue #02) Barbara tells May that she's trained in karate, judo, and eskrima:

(Batgirl Rebirth Issue #02) Barbara would then train with May for the better part of a week in MMA to prepare her for her first MMA fight. May, for reference, was skilled enough to defeat Barbara with one move:

(Batgirl Rebirth Issue #03) Barbara recovers from being knocked out by Wen Lu (she was distracted by her tattoo) and fights her a second time. This time, despite Wen Lu being a skilled MMA and street fighter, Barbara dodges all of her attacks, catches her punch, and sends her flying out of a window:

(Batgirl Rebirth Issue #04) Barbara uses a piece of wood as a melee weapon to help fight off Hardhat, Moth, and Schoolgirl. She disarms Hardhat of his hammer, causing it to hit Moth and knock her out, then defends against Schoolgirl's attacks before using a smokescreen to escape the scene:

(Batgirl Issue #01) Barbara is grabbed by one of the Brisby Killers by the wrists, but she pulls her legs up under her chest to kick him in the chin, never letting go of his arms:

(Batgirl Issue #06) A mind-controlled Bruce Wayne swings a crow bar at Barbara, but she is able to jump vertically in the air over it and kick out, connecting with his chin. She kicked him on accident, though, as immediately after she told him it was on instinct:

Endurance/Pain Tolerance

(Batgirl Issue #00) Barbara takes a backhand chop to the side of her neck from a criminal named Harry. This same criminal was brought in for breaking girls' necks:

(Batgirl Issue #01) Barbara isn't bothered by being tackled through a window/glass door:

(Batgirl Issue #02) After being thrown down a building, Barbara uses her grappling hook to swing herself into a taxi, seeing that as a best case alternate to falling flat on her face on the sidewalk. However, in grappling into the taxi, she dents the door and bruises her ribs. She is immediately up afterwards and already planning on chasing after the Mirror (guy who threw her):

(Batgirl Issue #02) Barbara fights the Mirror, and in doing so, takes a punch from him to the gut and is squeezed by him. The Mirror is so strong that earlier Babs felt that her arm was wrenched from its socket just from him pulling her over his head, then when he punches her in the gut she says it almost made her pass out on the spot despite the kevlar weaved into the suit. He then practically bearhugs her, but she manages to scare him off by threatening to take his precious papers:

(Batgirl Issue #05) Batgirl is cheapshotted by Gretel, a woman strong enough to be kicked full strength in the face by Babs and not even blink, and is also hit in the back of the neck with the bottom of Gretel's big knife, yet remains conscious and ready to fight:

(Batgirl Issue #06) This is more of a feat for her cowl, really, but Barbara isn't really harmed from having a tablet like an iPad slammed into the back of her head:

(Batgirl Issue #08) Barbara is blasted out of a doorway by Grotesque's electricity powers:

(Batgirl Issue #09) Batgirl claims that the Talon she fought had the strength behind her hits like a "rifle crack" and believed she would overwhelm the shock plates in her gauntlets, and in both of their fights, Barbara took plenty of good hits like kicks and elbows to the face and was even scratched up by the Talon's throwing knives:

(Batgirl Issue #13) Barbara is stabbed in the side by Knightfall (after we learn that the stab had cut all the way to her liver) but still musters up the strength to pound on her in hand-to-hand. When she says something to piss Knightfall off, she actually gets hit in the exact same spot she was stabbed and is still able to stay conscious and stay upright despite the blood loss and dizziness she was feeling:

(Batgirl Issue #16) Despite Barbara being at James' feet when he drops a grenade, she survives the explosion and subsequent rubble falling on her:

(Batgirl Issue #17/18) Barbara is hit by one of Firebugs grenades, then burned from his flamethrower, and then she has the room they are in blow up and come crashing down. Despite all of this, Barbara survives the whole ordeal and picks herself up from the rubble:

(Batgirl Issue #19) Barbara has the shock plate in her cowl cracked when her brother smashes her over the head with a wooden hammer, but even though she starts to blackout and has a concussion, she still manages to beta him up:

(Batgirl Issue #40) Barbara is slammed into the ground and kicked in the stomach by Riot Black, someone who had knocked her out for almost the whole night before with a single punch:

(Batgirl Issue #06) By stringing together clues of Gretel's attacks and the fact that all of her mind-control victims say the same phrase "338", Barbara was able to track down and learn of her identity. She also looked at the fact that Gretel was using a .38 revolver but only with three bullets, and once she learned of a woman who had been shot and admitted to the hospital with the same kind of gun and with three gunshot wounds, she figured out it was Gretel:

(Batgirl Issue #09) After stealing a piece of paper from the Talon she fought, Barbara was able to notice that it was mulberry paper and immediately knew that it was from back in WWII when Japan made paper balloons that floated across the sea to attack the U.S., because they used mulberry paper to do so:

Phone Case

(Batgirl Issue #37) Qadir made Barbara a phone case that is waterproof, impact-proof, has a built-in battery, and a camera flash that is a superflash capable of blinding someone for a few minutes:

Bat Grenade

(Batgirl Issue #38) It's probably not called a Bat Grenade, but it's a small grenade that packs enough power to tilt a speeding car on its side:

Safety Foam Bomb

(Batgirl Issue #38) Barbara has a small capsule that houses an expanding polyurethane foam that absorbs impact and leaves a target incapped for the police:
