For one, they allegedly have control over time. They are often multi-dimensional and can effect the 3rd dimension where 3rd dimensional beings rarely, if ever can effect the 4th dimension. They are not constrained by the same laws of physics as us and many of them are much more etheric than us.

That's a few reasons, though provide some more context to your question....

Actually being 4D doesn't mean you are stronger. It just means you are a superior being.
But if you are talking about power, they are supposed to transcend time.

The fourth dimesion is control over time in space

The can perceive every possible outcome of what has been or will ever be.

Kind of like the movie Arrival.

It has nothing to do with strength at all

@wassely: so can a 3D being beat a 4D being ?

Yes, but not in a traditional matter. Beating a 4D being and killing one are two entirely different concepts.

Is there a specific 4D being you have in mind or just generally speaking?

Theoretically, they are as different from us as we are different from a 2D beings . Just imagine a fight between a 2D and a 3D beings, it is literally a person vs something drawn on a piece of paper. No matter what the thing on the piece of paper does, it can NEVER fully interact with us, only the aspect of can comprehend, while we can just casually comes and tear it apart. And a battle between a 3D and 4D would be like this, but this time with us being the things on the paper

It mainly depends on characters and verse they come from. 4th dimensional beings in Rick and Morty were still average human level in terms of stats for example.

Depending on the verse in question, it's actually possible for lower dimensional beings to beat higher ones.

Just you cannot see or feel them isn't an answer for their power?

I mean, a 2 dimensional being from the perspective of a 3 dimensional being wouldn't exist/would have a mass of zero, so I assume that the same principle applies the more dimensions one goes up? A 3D being wouldn't really exist relative to a 4D being.

The difference between killing one and beating one comes down to killing one, or making one bug off. In most cases, you can't really kill them as they are not materialistic like we are, they do not have physical biology as we know it.

Here's an example of a famous fictional character who is nails all the aspects of a 4th dimensional being who was defeated. Pennywise. In his own dimension he is described to be a formless, orange glowing energy. When he comes to our 3rd dimensional reality he takes on different materialistic shapes and figures, but he requires a form to interact in our materialistic world. He feeds off of fear of his victims as a food source, it is said that in the higher dimensions energy, frequencies, and vibrations are far more prominent and that a 4th dimensional being can feel the effects of emotions released from a person, something that we cannot see. For example emotions tend to be contagious. One person may laugh, and other people may begin to laugh. A crying person can made another sad. In IT part 1 Pennywise was defeated with love and happiness and willpower. That being said I don't know if using Pennywise was the best example to provide, or the worst. It is however the most compelling and well known. Stephen King has never confirmed it, but some fans have speculated that Pennywise is an entity known as an Archon, which are hypothetical 4th dimensional beings that share the same traits as him. They are only one of many hypothetical 4th dimensional beings. That's not even getting into the 5th dimension with photons and solid light, and beyond that where things become nearly incomprehensible to our minds.

First I'm going to get flack for this, but it must be said. TIME IS NOT THE 4TH DIMENSION. Time is a controlled variable in the 4th dimension ALLEGEDLY as I highly doubt it's been proven. The assumption that time is the 4th dimension derives from an old, misunderstood quote that was taken out of context. There are some who theorize that the 4th dimension is essentially the Astral Plane.

Here's a couple of interesting links on the subject.

Going back to your initial question. I would say a 4th dimensional being is more powerful than a 3rd dimensional being is due to it's non-materialistic properties. Again the etheric nature. If you shot both with a gun with intentions of killing. The bullet would pass through the 4th dimensional being, while killing the 3rd dimensional being. Or perhaps the 4th dimensional being phases through solid matter of which is the bullet. I suppose that is also an unknown variable. Everything is of course theoretical but they have far more control over their space than we do of ours.

@daisy_johnson: thanks , i understood everything

No problem :)

It's a very complicated subject to talk about as there's a lot of different contradictive and speculative theories.
