- Wanda is pissed
- Its clobbering time for Thing
- Fight takes place within the hex
- Win by any means
The Scarlet Witch (mcu) vs The Thing (616)
He either takes her out by throwing something or gets telepathically controlled. How can he fight within the hex unless he has been freed from said hex ?.
Realistically this Wanda has two options:
1. Mind Control. This won't work because Ben's insanely fuelled by willpower and has resisted some of the top level TP attempts out there, like Overmind (who was able to stagger the Stranger) who while able to control a whole town, planet, and Reed in the same team, couldn't get Ben. Wanda by comparison has nothing impressive to go by beyond controlling some fodder, and some more fodder, and a whole city of fodder.
2. Reality Warping. This is harder for obvious reasons, but Ben has also resisted reality warping from arguably more potent subjects, like D'Spayre trying to rip him apart while empowered by his depression. Also will not work definitely.
Wanda loses, ultimately.
Ben has resisted D'Spayre and his reality-warping, so can likely resist Wanda's Hex as well.
Poor showings against telepathy though.

Him not getting brainwashed by Overmind is supposed to be "poor" now? Psycho-Man for doubles? Maybe throw in some Puppet Master or Doom feats for anything else?
@professorrespect: Nate Grey did it so have others as he's not immune.

Oh man, Nate Grey, truly the most low bar of TP feats. Not like Xavier was saying he had perhaps the most latent psychic power of ANY telepath even when he was a rookie who couldn't control his powers, later mastered them and became all-powerful as Shaman Nate, etc etc. Sounds so poor indeed.
This is actually pretty close. Wanda has TPed MCU Cap, but not extremely effectively. 616 Thing and Cap are both relativistic omni-tiers, but via scaling Wanda's hax should work on Ben. Interested to see the arguments here.
Thing stomps as always. Should've put Wanda up against Hulk to make it more fair.

MCU Cap well known for his erm....TP resistance feats?
Wanda wins with TP
Already went through how that doesn't work. Feel free to compare controlling one town with Overmind tho.
@professorrespect: He's omnipotent, it's only logical.
Thing stomps. Lol at Wanda doing anything to him. Also this:

comic book character wins again, by virtue of having way more, better and more widely applicable showings
Thing unironically shit stomps. Her TK won't do shit. Her best feat with it is making MCU Thanos scream in the same manner Worthy Cap did with that bolt of lightning from the sky. And Thanos ignored whatever pain she caused after, before proceeding to continue his search for the Gauntlet.
And Ben has far better durability and strength to overpower and break out. And that's not to mention how she only did it to Thanos AFTER she staggered him after using the most powerful blast shown to day, that managed to break his Uru-sword. And it only managed to stagger him.
That ain't gonna work on Thing. Who trades blows with 616 characters that would one-shot Wanda's shield with a pinky.
TP/reality warping wont work. Wanda's TP is fodder to any competent LA Telepath such as the Fox ones. Let alone comic Telepaths. Who Ben have resisted, along with her weak ass, Hexless reality-warping. Her best warping feats are within a Hex. And they also get negged by Ben's superior resistance.
This is all ignoring the fact that Thing has the superior speed via keeping up with the likes of 616 Hulk, Tony, and many other high-tiers.
But I'm sure someone will post some absurd anti-feat where he's a 1000 times slower than a snail. And has the reaction speed of a grandma suffering from dementia. Since MCU Wanda wankers love to lowball and downplay her clearly superior opponents, and act as if someone like Wanda has any chance against them. Despite how clearly outmatched she is.
@cryolancer47: maybe it isn’t downplaying and idk thing isn’t actually that fast? Crazy to think but I don’t think marvel believes thing is some hypersonic character either
Ot: unless thing has resistance to reality warping he loses otherwise he wins if he does
@dmnb2wavy: Thing is faster. He is faster than Wanda thanks to keeping up with many 616 characters who would blitz her in weaker iterations. Such as Extremis Iron-Man. Or Hulk. Who managed to tag Surfer before. And has his own wide array of speed feats. Which Ben scaled from thanks to keeping up with him.
And about the reality warping feats. They have already been brought up here. But just in case you missed them:

I hope this helped.
For him to lose this. It would require ignoring his feats and scaling/downplaying him, like someone already did.

silver surfer is know for not using his speed in fights besides that again thing isn’t some hyper sonic character. characters like wolverine and Spider-Man can easily keep up with him. Thing blizting wanda just isn’t happening

there is a big difference between trying to rip someone apart and just changing their molecular structure entirely
Thing

Maybe if you pick specific instances, just to lowball. But Surfer definitely uses his speed in fights. More than Wanda uses her reality-warping in combat:
Dodges the Humans Torch with ease, as if he was anchored in place:
Dodges Hulk's blows:
Speed astounds The Stranger
Casually outspeeds and outmanuvers missiles:
Dodges Galactus's eye-blasts:
Weaves between the blasts of a spaceship:
Easily Dodges ice giant swings:
You can of course choose to ignore the above. But Thing still has better reaction and combat speed feats than Wanda. Thanks to his Hulk scaling:
And Thing scales above the likes of Doc Green. Who can react and move fast enough to intercept a missile mid-air:
And Savage Hulk, who dodged Thor's hammer:
Grabs Iron-Man while he's flying over:
Blind Professor Hulk (Driven temporarily insane due to the Gamma-Virus) tags 616 Spidey:
Tags Spider-Man, again:
Tags Ms. Marvel and throws her at Iron-Man:
And if you're wondering how Thing scales above these guys. It's all thanks to him keeping up with, and beating Immortal Hulk.
I REPEAT THING DEFEATED IMMORTAL HULK FAIR AND SQUARE
FLAT OUT KO'D
NEVER FORGET AUGUST 14 2019 WHEN THING KO'S ONE OF THE STRONGEST INCARNATIONS OF HULK SINCE GREEN SCAR
Some things worth noting:
- Thing fought Immortal Hulk for ~an hour and a half. 90 minutes of getting smashed by the same character who cracked Thor's skull with one hit. He is insanely durable, not to mention his pain tolerance and willpower must be through the roof to keep fighting when the rock was literally getting smashed off of his face.
- Thing only hit IH a couple of times and did superficial damage to him originally, with the worst being a bloody lip. Given IH has an incredible healing factor, this means he was for all intents and purposes completely unharmed up until Thing's final hit. Yes, that means Thing LITERALLY KNOCKED OUT IMMORTAL HULK WITH A SINGLE PUNCH.
- Before people cry muh inconsistency, it's worth noting that before Thing's final punch he explicitly says "can't hold anything back" and his punch was so incredibly powerful it totally shattered the rock off of his arm. We've never seen Thing punch so hard as to damage himself like that before, which is further evidence that this really was just the first time in comics we've seen Thing totally cut loose and unleash his strongest punch ever. He also claims at the end it was the 'best Sunday punch he's ever thrown in his life' which further confirms this.
An incredibly injured Thing one shot Immortal Hulk, that's all there is to it. This isn't PIS, this isn't inconsistent. This is the power of Thing when he puts all of his heart into his strongest punch possible.
Same Immortal Hulk that can do this:
Blitzes Sentry and tackles him out of a building:
Same Immortal Hulk that One-shots Thor with a Punch, sends a tooth flying out of his mouth, giving him blurry vision/a concussion, cracks his skull, forcing Captain America to save him, and give Cap a bloody nose from hitting his shield:
Yeah. Thing definitely has the superior reaction and speed.
So even if you ignore the Surfer Scaling from Hulk. Ben still has superior speed feats, when compared to Wanda. Who's best speed/reaction feats to this day, is barely reacting to Thanos when he was a brick with 0 versatility. And clearly struggling as well as getting pushed down on one-knee. Which forced her to use a powerful Uru-breaking blast, just to stagger Thanos, so she can catch him in her TK-grip.
Which won't work on Ben for obvious reasons.
there is a big difference between trying to rip someone apart and just changing their molecular structure entirely
So, can MCU Wanda undo what an amped D'Spayre did to Ben? If yes, then she can win. If not, then we know what will happen.
Wanda's reality-warping is far below what D'Spayre does with his magical BS. And is far less powerful than the likes of Fox Legion & Shadow King. Who's powers are far closer to D'Spayre than Wanda is at her current level. And if she couldn't do anything to Agatha. Who doesn't have reality-warping resistance. And wasnt affected by the Hex like Monica was, and managed to handwave Wanda's TP with her magic. As well as takeover Construct Quicksilver.
Wanda can't do anything to someone who has actual feats such as Ben's against someone on the level of a Depression-amped D'Spayre. With her current weak ass feats in both TP and reality-warping. Which were all done on fodder humans. And no one with resistance on the level of Ben:
There's also the fact that everyone Wanda had used her reality-warping on were no-name fodder humans with 0 resistance feats to anything. And she has not used it even in MOM. Except against the featless fodder that is Black Bolt. All because he got his powers exposed by the dumbest man alive. Which made Wanda use her reality-warping for the first time in combat on him and Reed. Both of whom have 0 reaction, combat, or even travel speed on anywhere the likes of Iron-Man 1 Tony. Let alone 616 Thing who already has more than enough scaling and feats to put him above every MCU character, in combat and reaction.
So for Wanda to win this. That needs proof to say she can affect someone who overcame what an amped D'Spayre did to him with pure will-power alone. Cause saying she just can with her weak warping would be NLF.
And seeing how this is a Clobber-lusted Ben. He just blitzes her and one-shots. He's not gonna goof around and try to talk it out with her.
