    Afro is an incredibly talented swordsman who's father was decapitated in front of his own eyes as a child. That traumatic experience caused an innocent little boy to have a mind flustered with revenge and, with that, Afro grew into a cold-blooded killer, spilling the bloods of countless souls in his wake.

    Afro Samurai Resurrection was announced by Spike TV last summer.  The time for it to air is almost upon us.  Spike TV will air the two hour movie on Friday January 23, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and then again split into four episodes on Friday January 30 at 1:30 a.m. ET/PT.  Lucy Liu will be his new nemesis, Sio.  Mark Hamill will also be providing the voice of Sio's servant.

    There will also be a video game released for the PS3 and 360 on January 27.  You can find screen shots and more information HERE.

    If you don't have access to Spike TV, don't worry.  Afro Samurai Resurrection will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 3.

    Januray 27?!! Man did I get the date wrong. lol And I didn't know Mark Hamill was in the show? He's the best The Joker. Well anyway, Afro Samurai Resurrection will EASILY be the anime of the year.

    It airs on the 23.  The 27 is when the game comes out.  Oops. 

    What's funny is I posted this at Anime Vice and wasn't sure if anyone here would really care.  Glad I thought twice and posted it here too.
