I always thought her concept is suppose to be a woman that is extraordinary and can do almost anything. She is suppose to more than the average woman and a lot more original. She is basically just another warrior character fighting to save the world and now she's another offspring of the thousands of others that Zeus has.

If your going to make that argument head all the way back to Perez who made her powers all blessings and then head further back to the 1950s to Kanigher who started that trend and also de powered the Amazons

originally she was meant to embody the power of femininity and fight for loving submission

then she went through some rough patches....basically becoming a romantic comic and then some more rough patches getting depowered and then she got reimagined in the 80's as having more mythological ties

honestly wonder woman character changes alot because the state of women change alot and she gets caught up in the mix.

imo they need to just find her character or whatever version they like and the mythos surrounding her and stick with it and quit changing her to fit the times and instead create more female characters if they want different women heroes to represent different women

That was the original concept. But it gets weird when you realize that the books logic is that a normal person can move mountains with their bare hands just by being confident.
