@citizenjp: When we were done, he even signed a bunch of stuff for people that were hovering around during the interview, even though it wasn't his official signing time.
I was so nervous we'd lose him with Rebirth. Seems like a great dude. Had a hunch from how he discusses the character that he'll probably never run out of batman stories.

Wow. Does that happen often?
So all star batman might be the the bat title to jump on then considering Snyder will be writing it.
So a retcon All Star not canon to Earth 31 (aka Frank Miller Batman)? No thank you. I liked Franks work, fresh and new. People bitching about Batman killing and being mean liked the murdering Tim Burton Batman, and Batfleck now. Frank Batman did not even kill anyone, just a asshole, and it was epic.
Going mushy... nice one! Snyder's such a funny guy to listen to (for hours).
So All-Star Batman will have Snyder collaborating with different artists each and every arc, or one-shot? Pretty much as if it were an extended version of American Alien just with Batman and in continuity?
I wonder if more readers will stay with the main Batman series by King or follow Snyder over to All-Star Batman making it DC's best selling comics?
Scott Snyder is so down to earth, he seems like such a nice humble dude. That being said I can't wait for his new batman book toally stoked for it sounds extremely interesting.
So stupid, if they didn't want to lose snyder how bout just leaving him on one of the main titles? I love snyder don't get me wrong but I am not buying its own continuity batman story monthly.
It's in continuity, not in its own.
@kid_jakeriv: no its in its own and has no effect on all the other titles...
@kid_jakeriv: no its in its own and has no effect on all the other titles...
No, it's in continuity. Scott has said mutiple times on his Twitter, it just won't have an effect on the other series. He said it's similar to how Superman is to Action Comics.
@kid_jakeriv: dude it says in the description of the title that it is it's own batman independent of the other titles. He said on his Twitter that his batman will be its own thing and Tom will do great job with regular batman. He also said that this gives him more freedom to tell the stories he wants to tell ie no editors. So no its not Canon to the other books or the main universe.
@newecho: Independent does not mean not canon. It's in continuity. Here are a few links. Check out @Ssnyder1835's Tweet: https://twitter.com/Ssnyder1835/status/714528192183345152?s=09

There you go, it's not connected to the main titles but it is in the main continuity.
@kid_jakeriv: then that makes it worse in my opinion. I follow him on Twitter and he has said other things that made it look like its not in continuity. Basically this book is hey we don't really want to lose you scott and we are sorry for making you put Bruce back in the costume before you were ready too?. Anyways I will still probably buy it because its Snyder and its batman.
Lots that I liked to hear, but I keep hearing Scott saying Greg is taking a break and coming back. Is he referring to the short break he just took? Or is Greg coming back to All Star?
Capullo is starting a mini with Mark Millar, and possibly after that he'll be back with Snyder.
