Jason Todd was the second individual to carry on the Robin mantle. His tenor was short lived due to his impulsive nature to charge in and using deadly force to stop the criminal element. Jason was murdered by the Joker but his body was recovered by Ra's al Ghul. Ra's felt responsible for Jason's death because he set loose the Joker to distract the Batman. Ra's wanted to atone by giving Jason a second chance at life but the trauma he had suffered at the hands of the Joker along with the unpredictable nature of the Lazarus Pit left Jason's mind broken. Ra's tasked Talia with Jason's rehabilitation. Overtime, Jason came to adore Talia and the two became lovers. Talia kept Jason's existence hidden from Damian by having Jason assigned to far off missions and giving him the codename Red Hood so he could establish trust among the criminal element. When Talia takes command of the League of Assassins, she asks Jason to be by her side but he refuses because his memories were returned to him by a mysterious benefactor.

Mayra al Ghul-Ducard is the daughter of Dusan al Ghul and Morgan Ducard. With Damian being taught by the Batman, Mayra is brought under the brutal tutelage of Deathstroke and code named Respawn. When Talia takes command of League of Assassins, she gives Respawn the task of bringing Damian back to her or to eliminate him if he refuses. Mayra wants Damian dead for killing her mother Morgan Ducard.
