I'm interested but I fear this'll just be infinite crisis's earth 2 Superman vs New Earth all over again. Complaining that this other world is somehow fallen, too cynical, too consequentialist. Also as people have said above, not sure what this'll do to continuity, or whether it's going to damage the status of pre-Flashpoint Superman amongst the fans. I'd have rather pre-Flashpoint Wally, Iris, Bart or Jay come to confront Barry for messing up continuity (regardless what you think of New 52, from a narrative perspective, Barry Allen is guilty of messing up the universe and then poorly repairing it after realising that he is not a god and can't in fact have everything he wants).

I doubt it'll come to that (or at least it shouldn't logically), given that it was this Superman who fought the Earth 2 Superman. He knows full well that his Earth wasn't perfect and that he shouldn't just give up on this new one because it's darker.

...Which is weird for me to say given that there are many things about the New 52 that I dislike.

Calling it now:

If Pre-New 52 Superman and current New 52 Superman meet they'll use the fact that there are two of them to trick people into thinking Clark Kent and Superman are two different people.

Well let's give it a shot... if your a spidey fanboy you will. I know im on board for it.

Well said.

@mcaraballo77: I've always thought that Peter's vision was to help as many people as possible. If that's the case then it makes sense for him to go global and finally push his skills and intellect to the limits.

Also well said.

I love Peter Parker, but I was tired of reading comics where he was just a photographer for the Daily Bugle or Mayor J. Jonah Jameson. After years if felt like Peter had never grown up at all. Spider-Man should always deal with Peter having to make choices about the responsibility of being Spider-Man vs. His personal life, but it doesn't mean Peter has to continue to be immature and unable to pay rent and stuff like that. He can still have problems but they need to be more mature problems that people deal with. I really loved what BIG TIME did for Peter because it got him a Job doing what he was good at. Inventing stuff. Parker Industries was just the next logical step of that.

And thank you.

I will endlessly complain about One More Day until it get's fixed and I will continue to praise JMS's run on Spider-Man. JMS had the character grow up, do new things, and strengthen the relationships he had with his loved ones. One More Day reverted the character back to a point in his life he'd long grown out of. I'm looking forward to this run with cautious optimism because I like it when Peter/Spider-Man is written as a competent adult who has learned from all he's been through.

I'm just looking for Spider-Man to be written as a competent adult superhero. JMS did a great job of writing him as such and it was his run that made Spider-Man my favorite superhero. By the looks of the previews I'm very hopeful for the upcoming issues.
