Huston's run was pretty much a MAX title--with all the face removal and such--and I thought it was awesome, but I'm not sure such graphic violence appeals to the majority and would result in poor sales.

However, if such a book were to be made, I'd like to see Clayton Crain (X-Force) on the art. I think his dark, gritty style would suit a MAX Moon Knight :)

I think it would work. You could have him with a more religious fanatical lunatic slant with the face carving style violence. I'd have the art team from the bottom but I'd want more action and on the writing I'd get Brian Azzarello on the case. Saying that however Alexander Irvine is an awesome idea.

If he got a MAX title it would be different then the main books. He would very likely loose the vast amount of gadgets he has and wouldn't resemble Batman at all like he does now. I'd see him as either very much a crazed follower of a sadistic God with minor superpowers and/or a vigilante with guns that takes down criminal threats while dressed up in a custom (the custom would be toned down as well). In other words he would be somewhere between the MAX version of the Punisher and how Moon Knight is in 616 minus his helicopter and other batman like gear.
