They properly met later, when the Avengers were voting the line-up for their West Coast team. U.S.Agent was the only member to vote for Mockingbird to have a place on the team. Mockingbird was touched by this until hearing the Agent's reasoning was because she "wasn't bad to look at". It was suggested a few times that John Walker was jealous of her relationship with Hawkeye and he had something of a crush on her, although this may have just been a bid to annoy her husband and his rival; Hawkeye.
Victoria Hand was previously Norman Osborn's second in command, as Deputy Director of H.A.M.M.E.R. She was inducted into the New Avengers as Steve Rogers believed she deserved a second chance.

Billy Kaplan, an electrokinetic mutant with magical and reality warping abilities, joined the Young Avengers under the name Asgardian (which was later changed to Wiccan) as part of Vision's fail safe program to ensure the existence of the Avengers team. Wiccan and his teammate/brother Speed are believed to be the reincarnations of the Scarlet Witch's dead twin sons. He is considered a powerful mage, and was revealed to be the Demiurge, a being of great power, destined to one day "rewrite the laws of magic".
Dr. Wilma Calvin was the Supervisor of Project:Gladiator, intended to create new supersoldiers. Among her employees were Theodore Sallis (Man-Thing) who tested the product on himself and Roberta Morse (Barbara Morse, Mockingbird) who investigated its dissappearance with Ka-Zar.
Once, she was long-assumed dead but she eventually returned. Mockingbird is a fellow Avenger, wife of Hawkeye and ally to Wolverine from time to time.
Simon Williams was made into a being of pure ionic energy by Baron Zemo, becoming the impossibly powerful Wonder Man. Meant to aid the Masters of Evil in their campaign against the Avengers, Wonder Man found himself sympathizing with the heroes and joined their team instead. He has remained an Avengers mainstay ever since, despite his constant insecurities and battles with his own mortality.
