Michael's brother Jonas sends a team to look for Michael, but as he's now the Wendigo, he slaughters them all. Wolverine later arrives at the scene and deduces that a Wendigo is behind the carnage and sets out to track the creature with Michael's brother following him. Hulk also arrives later on which causes the Wendigo to emerge and attack him. Wolverine aids Hulk in the fight and Jonas uses S.H.I.E.L.D. technology to capture the Wendigo.

Tamara Fleet (Jonas' wife who used to be engaged to Michael) attempts to kill the Wendigo only for it to growl out her name, putting doubts in her mind. The Wendigo then breaks free and falls to New York City from the plane it was being held on. The Wendigo makes it way to Central Park and attempts to kill a woman who attacked it with a defensive spray. However, Ghost Rider and Spider-Man arrive and save the woman before they engage in a fight with the Wendigo. Tamara and Jonas soon arrive and wound the Wendigo, driving it into the woods.

The Wendigo travels to Central Park Zoo and murders several people. When Tamara arrives, the Wendigo attempts to communicate with her but Ghost Rider arrives and attacks the creature. However, Spider-Man intervenes and stops the fight, realising there is something about this Wendigo. Using his penance stare, Ghost Rider discovers that Michael Fleet is the Wendigo. Now-docile, the Wendigo is taken into custody with Tamara next to him.
