Sponsored by Franquin and Yvan Delporte, he first made a name for himself as an illustrator in Le Journal de Spirou and Le Trombone illustré, the series Germain et nous..., Les Démêlés by Arnest Ringard and Augraphie or even Didi. In 1985, with Serge Honorez, he designed Nougat le Rat for the scientific youth magazine L'Argonaute2. The character's name is an anagram of "The Argonaut". He also published two volumes by Jimmy Laventure with Jean-Claude de la Royère, Les dents de la bouche (Dargaud, 1986) and Signé Maroilles (MC Productions, 1988). The series ends prematurely due to publisher problems. He later set up several musical projects including The Bowling Balls and Zinno, a group in which he co-starred with his friend Jean-Pierre Hautier. From 1989 to 1993, he was part of the Snuls, a group of comedians. Later, under the name of Jannin and Liberski with ex-Snul Stéphane Liberski, he has since continued to produce television series including J'aime tant de t'ouverture les yeux, Froud et Stouf and Twin flicks, as well as records and commercials (notably for Devos Lemmens). Musician, he composed the last credits of the Game of dictionaries, before the disappearance of the emission in 2011. He also appears as a participant in various radio and television entertainment programs for the RTBF; his last publications appeared in Fluide glacial. In 1998, publishes press cartoons on Stefan Liberski's ideas in Le Matin, a Belgian daily born the same year but which will disappear a year later.
