What fighting game franchise has the strongest fighters ?

Mortal Kombat , Street fighter , tekken , KOF , etc.

I'd nominate the Killer Instinct cast in the top 3 at bare minimum for stuff like this:

Mortal Kombat has a lot of inhuman competitors and beings of other dimensions.

If we're considering it a fighting game, Playstation All-Stars has Zeus and Kratos.

As it kinda falls into one of the sub-categories of fighting games that also branches in to party games, that's pretty valid I'd say.

Like Super Smash Bros. and Anarchy Reigns, basically.

Yeah, pretty much.

I consider darkstalkers to have some pretty powerful characters..

MUGEN. Mugen probably has all the characters from the fighting games that were mentioned and more.

Its main feature is that it's highly customizable. It has gigantic libraries on its community sites filled with home-brew characters players can download and play against each other.

Injustice has Superman.

Shinnok and The One Being from Mortal Kombat are probably the most powerful game characters.

Fighting Vipers of course! One dude fights with a skate board plus it has Axel Raxel Rose! So either that or uh Rumble Roses.

And Mugens aren't canon, they're fan made fighting games.

Only games that should be considered here are MK, SF, Darkstalkers, BlazBlue, DOA, KI, VF, Tekken etc, etc

Mortal Kombat. Have been playing MK 9 with my brother for the last few days. Oh it is gloriously grisly gory fun!

And Id have to say Mortal Kombat too.

With characters like Shao Kahn, Raiden Shinnok Onaga Quan Chi Shang Tsung only to name a few off the top of my head.
