Hugh Jackman Wants Tom Hardy to be the Next Wolverine

Hugh Jackman has one last Wolverine film in him before he's calling it quits. However, everyone wants to know who would make a great replacement to play the character in future movies. In an interview with Mtv, Jackman picked an actor he'd love to replace him in future films.

That seems like a pretty reasonable choice to follow him up. Hardy has proven more than once that he can play an action role. Who do you think should play Wolverine in the future or is Jackman on the money?

Meh, I don't think Hardy will make a good replacement, he is a good actor but Jackman is Wolverine in my mind. It is also going to destroy any immersion when people from the original X-men movies look at the 'new' wolverine but pretend he is the old

Tom Hardy's still pretty tall, so no chance of a short Wolverine (finally). But I think he has both the physique and the acting skills to pull it off.

I don't think they should replace Wolverine. There are so many good mutants, just move on to another character.

If we get another Wolverine how about one who's closer to the short character he is and not a pg13 version.

Hardy can do anything he wants he is that good.

Hugh's final Wolverine movie will be the last Fox movie I see.

It would be amazing. Mad Max showed us that Tom Hardy is up for that kind of character.

My vote is to type cast an actual Canadian ala Dave Coulier...he already has a sweet Wolverine catchphrase, "I'm the best there is at what I do, and what I do is cut, it, out."

I can dig it, I'd still prefer a shorter, more gruff, Logan; but Hardy isn't a bad choice

He'd be a great choice, and honestly I have no idea why people think Jackman is irreplaceable as Wolverine.

I'd rather they not try to replace Jackman barring a full reboot. Introduce X-23 instead. Hell, she's already taking on the Wolverine name in the comics, anyway.

Wow I never thought of Hardy playing Wolverine. I think he would be play him exceptionally well, especially after doing Mad Max. I'm still gonna miss Hugh Jackman, but it will be exciting to see what Hardy will be like as Wolverine. Definitely can see him a younger reserved Wolverine that can also play the aggressive part. In that video though they made him look horrible with Wolverine's hair cut lol

I think FOX would be silly to re-cast Wolverine, and I hope disney say they can do a tv series if they give the right to F4 back and allow Wolverine to be in Avengers films. There is no way Hugh would turn down that! Next tweet would read "ok, one more time".

I could see Hardy as Wolverine, but I rather see an actual Xmen movie instead of another damn Wolverine and or Xavier/Magneto movie

After 6 film appearances as Wolverine, plus a cameo, I think it's alright if we don't see Wolverine for a while after Jackman eventually hangs up his claws.

Hardy is a phenomenal actor, but for some reason I can't really see him as Wolverine. I guess he'd do fine as a younger Logan, but I'm honestly not interested in a "Young Wolvie" reboot. That being the case, I think Hardy lacks the grizzled look (maybe I just have "Jackman blinders"; it's been like 15 years now?). That dude they got to play Punisher in DD season 2 could've pulled it off. Tyler Hoechlin could probably pull it off too.

This I could see. Hardy is an excellent actor, and he can pull off the gruff loner type. I also kind of like the idea of Jackman helping pick his replacement sense he knows the character so well.
