Best martial artists (in terms of skill) in the MCU?
Winter Soldier just ''''''''defeated''''''''' widow and held his own against cap because of his super metal arm and because he was fully equipped while cap and widow weren't, otherwise he'd be dead the minute Natasha tried to choke him.
Cap >>>> Daredevil = Widow > May >>> Winter Soldier >> Bobbi
I think May is better. She has more black belts than Widow, and isn't enhanced, Cap, Widow, and WS are.
Captain America > Winter Soldier > May > Widow>=< Bobbi > Daredevil

I picked Captain America. The problem is that his skill is one of his superpowers (his brain was also affected by the SSS), so focusing on skill only hasn't equalized him to the non-enhanced characters.
@darthmummy: True. In fact until you mentioned it, I didn't think about how his finishing move against Batroc was one of his (Batroc) own.
Captain America > Winter Soldier > May > Widow>=< Bobbi > Daredevil
Seems legit.

Widow is enhanced? Where in the MCU is she enhanced? I'd accept trained from birth.
Also, agree 2 disagree for the rest of this thread please.
Cap > WS > Widow>= May > Bobbi
Dunno where to place DD.
@supremegeneration: Well I thought she'd had experiments done on her. Mostly due to the flashbacks of her being injected with something in AOU.
And the fact that she grabbed one of those Chitauri flyers without pulling her arm out of its socket in Avengers one.

Multiple years of training could allow the arms but the injections... Could be some form of temporary adrenaline rush or something, there were multiple students in there why waste it on just one kid when you could raise an army?
Widow or Daredevil for sure. Both have 10-15 years more Training under their belt than Cap.
Don't know about AoS though.
It's so unfair to compare Cap and Winter Soldier with Natasha, May or Daredevil, you take away Cap's strength and i don't think he could pull of some of his feats, he literally made a guy fly of the ship with one kick in TWS,this has little to do with training and i already exposed what i think of Bucky, May has taken on super humans, widow defeated two Chitauri soldiers at once ( i won't even talk about her avoiding every single blast shot at her in AOU and managed to defeat the ultron bots without getting hit, ok i just did) and they don't have ANY super powers, like a bionic metal arm or super strength combined with a fast processing brain.
May, Matt and Widow are better martial arts than Cap and Bucky but considering everything i keep the other order i posted.
From what we have seen, Cap, I guess...
From what we actually know about their martial arts careers, Widow.
Then again I haven't seen AOS, so it might be May.

The medical procedure shown in AoU was Natasha being sterilized. She's not enhanced.
@risingbean: Yeah I get that now. Otherwise Clint wouldn't have been able to temporarily overpower her in their fight.
Widow is the best martial artist
This doesn't mean she will win against some of the others.
May is close to widow but I am betting on Widow against her
@guardiandevil83: Indeed.
Matt by a fair bit compared to these guys, Iron Fist is the closest to Matt I think IF is on par with Matt in terms of skill, he's just not experienced enough and lets his emotions dictate how he fights.
Matt≥ Danny> May≥ Cap = Bobbi> Bucky> Widow.
Few months ago I would've said it was between Matt, Danny, May, Bobbi, and Cap but now Matt takes the lead with Danny at a very close second.
That being said Cap is somewhat underrated. Sure he's enhanced but he's still skilled and tactical enough to hold his own against opponents with better stats than him like Ultron, War Machine ( mostly offscreen though) Spiderman, and Iron Man.
Cap was also able to have an inconclosive fight against Black Panther someone who could get the edge on Bucky and was stated to be "trained to the highest level" by the Russo Brothers.
In the Winter Soldier Director Commentary, the Russo Brothers said that Cap was a Master CQC fighter. So he's seriously good without the stats.
DD > Cap > Black Widow > Winter Soldier >>> Melinda May > Bobbi Morse
Cap above Widow? Widow above May? May above Bobbi?
Natasha zero question.
I think she has some fairly strong competition, don't know about "zero question."
As of now, Matt is the only choice that makes sense. The number of skilled fighters he beaten dwarfs practically anyone else here.
Bumping now that I'm actually into the shows instead of just the films. Tbh, gotta finish DD and the Defenders first; already started DD and it's pretty cool as of the first couple of episodes.
@the_magister As a Ward expert, what do you think are his most impressive showings martial arts wise? I frankly think he should be above the guys I rank him in given how he faught Melinda twice, but it's just surprisngly easier to recall pure skill showings for these guys through statement/choreography etc. He has a very unorthodox style of ultising his stats skillfully, it's honestly unqiue.
@angeljax Also, did you guys notice that Bobbi used her own garotte in that episode where they faught those inhumans teaming up (can't remember the title)? She used it on the guy she took down when she was in a prison with Coulson or something....
Melinda May, Bobbi Morse, Matt Murdock, and Danny Rand are for sure locks.
Natasha Romanoff, Grant Ward, and Daisy Johnson are also pretty safe bets. As well as Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes.
Clint Barton, Murakami, Bakuto, Zhou Cheng, and Giyera could also can conceivably be placed on a top 10 but they lack the feats to have definitive spots on it.
Villains are a bit tough to gauge because by the structure of storytelling, they're set up to loose to the heroes at the end of that day. Even if they should be better than them on all accounts such as Bakuto/Murakami for example. If going by only heroes/main characters my top 10 would go something like; Melinda May, Matt Murdock, Bobbi Morse, Natasha Romanoff, Grant Ward, Daisy Johnson, Danny Rand, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes and T'Challa. (Not in any particular order)

You mean this?
I think they might have just been handcuffs. Bobbi knew she might have needed them and using a garotte doesn't seem like an M.O would use when fighting people.
Also, those weren't Inhuamns. They were normal people just with different gifts.
@anthp2000: Yep.... Ward is 9 spots below May... even though he beat her...
And obviously May is also better than Matt...

It does seem kinda too thick to be a garotte. Not sure, do handcuffs work that way?
Yeah whatever, the metas lol

Ward certainly didn't beat May because of his skill advantage. And that wasn't their only fight either.
Ranking is perfectly subjective when the characters are coparable - and the fact that they are comparable is objective.
@anthp2000: Well, I would still say Ward and May are close. And both of their fights were very close. Granted yes, you're right, he does have a strength advantage for sure.
I would still put Matt soundly above either.
