Crossbones, he was doing blows powerful enough Cap flying and cut through walls with ease. Don't think Matt has the strength to rip off Rumlow's bionic claw to turn the battle to his favor. A swift strike and Matt's down.
Matt's never dealt with blows like these to be honest, the most he's taken is the shots from Nobu (which were sending him flying) and Kingpin. Those pistons were sending Cap flying and battered down a reinforced door in two shots. A few hits and Matt's out of the game. Skill-wise, Crossbones was also contending with Cap for a while there and beat Widow, he also landed a couple of shots on Cap in the elevator.
I don't know though, Matt's smart and the more I watch some of his fights later on in season 2, the more skilled I think he is, I think he can accomplish this by getting the billy clubs jammed in the pistons and beating him down, but not for a majority.
Rumlow didn't give Cap much trouble, and would have been even less effective without his electro-sticks. In Civil War he fought less skilfully, more like a brawler, probably because the armour made him slower, and perhaps due to his injuries. Either way, Rumlow is out-skilled by Matt, who's got the speed, agility and combat skills to avoid getting hit by Rumlow. However, Matt's obviously gonna have a hard time hurting Rumlow, let alone KOing him, because he can't do any damage through that body armour, with fists or billy-clubs.
Also, Matt wont be able to survive that many of Rumlow's fancy new power-punches. I'd say two or three at most, because while i doubt Matt's durability would matter much his suit does offer him some pretty decent protection, especially the upgraded helmet. Taking hits from and being thrown around by Fisk and Nobu is impressive stuff, but not as impressive as punching Cap tens of feet away and through doors and whatnot.
This is a very speed-against-strength match. Matt has the advantages in manoeuvrability and martial arts prowess while Rumlow has the advantages in durability and striking power. If Matt can avoid getting hit by Rumlow's super-punches and somehow jam them with his clubs, or otherwise break the body armour, then he can probably win, but if he gets hit even just a few times he'll have too many broken bones and burst organs to get back up again.
Yeah crossbone wins, for one he's too durable for Matt to hit.
And one hit from his pneumatic fist could potentially knock out Matt.
Crossbones super stomp. He was ruthless af and his hits felt really brutal, aside from being really powerful
1. Great fight, hard to judge due to Matt having more feats but Rumlows armour and new pain resilience could swing it in his favour.
2. DD gets wrecked with bone and organ destroying punches.
I reckon Matt would win pure H2H (unless Rumlow has any non-exoskeleton upgrades I've overlooked), but with all his gear Rumlow would slap Matt into a coma. Too much of a stat difference.
Brock and is not even close. Hell Pre civil war Brock could go toe to toe with Matt.
No comment on post civil war but I don't see pre-civil war doing much at all. He didn't have much feats except effortlessly dodging and catching some throwing knives in that one tie-in comic. I mean I guess he dodged 2 hits from cap before getting stomped but that wasn't to impressive. I can see Matt doing the same thing.
Crossbones murders Matt. He's just too strong in relation to him. At most, Daredevil could retreat due to being fast and agile enough to play evasive. But he's not winning.
@allstarsuperman: It was still good enough to make him capable of stomping Matt. And he was never going to be depicted as capable of wrecking Cap anyway, nor should he have been.
@shroudofsorrow: His feats were awesome...but they killed him off.

I'm with the majority. Rumlow's suit is too much for Matt and Rumlow only needs to land a few shots, possibly one, to end it. Matt isn't untouchable. Matt would need to hope wherever this fight is taking place allows him to take advantage of an environmental win.
Rumlow for heavy majority.
H2h depends on the context, is Rumlow hurting without the suit? Cuz he got the suit due to permanent injuries by Cap, believe it or not.
Rumlow absolutely wrecks the equipment round. Hell, he blows Matt up with a single grenade that sticks onto the red suit. Bye Matt.
Round 1: H2H only
Depends. Does this mean that Rumlow isn't using the gauntlet he used to break that door and punch Cap? If so I'm going with Matt.
Round 2: Melee/H2H Billy gets his clubs/modified extending billy club and Rumlow gets to use those pistons on his gauntlets
Rumlow. If Matt fights smart he'd dance around Rumlow for a while but he'll get hit sooner or later.
@jedixman: He had no enhancements. He just had better pain tolerance due to his damage nerves.
But all strength, durability, etc. enhancements come from his suit and no other conditioning, correct? What I'm essentially asking is whether or not round 1 is much different from TWS Crossbones other than the pain tolerance.
@jedixman: No. He's exactly the same as he was in TWS, if his not in his power suit thing. Only difference is his ugly face and damaged nerves.

Okay. I stick by my original statement:
