Droog

Origin

The Hulk, General Thunderbolt Ross, Clay Quartermain and several SHIELD agents invade a Siberian stronghold called Bitterfrost to rescue Glenn Talbot but they are captured by the Gremlin. The Gremlin would call upon his genetic-altered pet called Droog to slay the Hulk when they try to escape. The Gremlin had raised Droog as a pup in his bio-genetics lab and it became an horned, orange creature capable of speech with fierce loyalty to his master. Droog and the Hulk would tussle and fight throughout the Siberian stronghold while Ross, Quartermain and Talbot escaped. A satellite from space emits a powerful beam and destroys the stronghold while Droog and the Hulk are inside. The Hulk would survive the blast but Droog is nowhere to be seen.

Creation

Droog was created by Len Wein and Herb Trimpe in 1975 and first appeared in The Incredible Hulk # 188.

Story Arcs

Humbug would communicate with his roaches as they try to gather any information on an auction to take place where Ricadonna is selling an important chip. Droog and Megacephalo are seen in their small, seedy apartment as they watch a television show that showcases homes of the rich and famous. Droog tells Megacephalo that they should go on that show but complains that their place is a mess.

Powers and Abilities

Droog is a horned creature with superhuman strength, durability and resistance to injury. Droog is capable of speech and is fiercely loyal to the Gremlin.
