Appearance

 
Zommari was a tall and muscular male arrancar. He was dark skinned and had thick lips. He is also bald and has golden yellow eyes. Zommari has three triangle-shaped tattoos on his chin. He also has four lines running down from his forehead directly above his eyes that end with dots appearing as exclamation points. These are on both sides of his head, giving him a total of eight lines. He wears a stylised version of the Espada uniform. His uniform consists of a long mandarin-style Arrancar jacket with a small opening at his chest area. He wears a default hakama li ke all other Arrancar, although his sandals resemble traditional martial arts training shoes. The remains of his hollow mask appear as a row of bony spikes along the crest of his head, forming something similar to a Mohawk hairstyle along with a pair of skull-shaped earrings and a thick bony necklace. It is unknown if the necklace is indeed part of the remains of his hollow mask. The location of his hollow hole and Espada tattoo are unknown.
 
 
 
 

Personality

Zommari displays a calm, contemplative personality, he is a quiet figure who doesn't speak unless it's necessary and does what he is told to do by Sōsuke Aizen. Apparently, Zommari likes to keep himself in a calm and peaceful state of mind as he is usually in a special meditation room where he awaits his orders from there. He has a great deal of respect for Sōsuke Aizen. Beneath this composed exterior, however, he hides a considerable loathing for the Shinigami. He believes them to be arrogant for hunting down and killing hollows just because they are considered evil.  Zommari is shown to be somewhat arrogant, and this was what eventually led to his defeat at the the hands of Byakuya Kuchiki. He constantly underestimate Byakuya during their battle. His insistence on proving his superiority without actually testing his opponent's full power, or striking him directly when he was fully capable of doing so, proved to be his eventual undoing.
 
 
 

Hueco Mundo

 

He was first seen with his fellow Espada in a meeting about what to do with the intruders. He was later seen attempting to finish Rukia Kuchiki off, after the latter had killed the ninth Espada Aaroniero. This prompted Rukia's brother Byakuya to fight with Zommari. They battle and Zommari reveals that he has the fastest Sonido of all the Espada, he fights using clones created from after images.
 
After some taunting and annoyance, Zommari releases his Zanpakutou. Zommari uses his Zanpakutous special ability, "Amor", to take control of Byakuya's body parts. When Byakuya cuts the tendons and muscles in his left leg and arm to prevent Zommari from taking advantage of him., Zommari decides to take over Rukia's body. He makes her cut Hanataro Yamada and then put her own sword to her neck. Byakuya uses a binding spell and then releases his Bankai.
 
 Zommari manages to survive the attack by using his Defensive Sphere. Having finally lost his composure, Zommari attempts in vain to use his special ability once again on the powerful captain, only to see his Amor fail when Byakuya summons a high-level Bakudō spell to block it, saying that Zommari's Amor is similar to  Kido and therefore blockable with Kidō. Knowing that he is about to die, Zommari curses Byakuya, saying that Shinigami are arrogant for believing they have a right to hunt and judge Hollows simply because they consider them evil. Byakuya dismisses his words saying he is only killing Zommari because he raised his sword against his own pride and threatened to kill Rukia, and then he kills Zommari with one slash. As he dies, Zommari desperately shouts his praise for Aizen before he disintegrates into the wind.   

Powers & Abilities

Zommari Leroux is the 7th strongest Espada. Like all Espada Zommari possesses the standard hollow powers such as Sonido, Hierro, Cero etc.

High Spiritual Pressure - As the Seventh Espada, he contains enough spiritual power to be above most non Espada Arrancar.

Sonido:  Like all Arrancar, Zommari has standard Hollow powers. He however holds the self-proclaimed title for the fastest Sonido of all the Espada.

• Gemelos Sonído: Zommari's Sonído is so fast that it can leave a total of five after-image clones of himself behind after he moves which he uses as diversions, substitutes or multi-directional attacks. 

 

Zanpakutō

Brujería (Spanish for "Witchcraft", Japanese for " Sangha of the Bewitching Eyes"). It resembles a normal katana with the exception of the guard, which

appears as a thick disk with spikes around the rim.  

• Ressurecion: The release command for Brujería is suppress . Zommari performs a ritual of some sort, snapping his neck and clapping his hands in the process. After the ritual is done a white smoke emits from his body and reveals his form. In its release, Brujería covers Zommari's entire body with eyes and faces. Each eye has the ability to control an object or person, Zommari has called this ability Amor (Spanish for Love). Zommari's round lower body can expand and make a sphere out of himself, thereby covering Zommari up and providing defense.
