    Stranded on an asteriod populated by gigantic, man-eating space worms, things finally start to look up for out small band of survivors when the are rescued by a group of robot miners. When the robots reveal they have a working spaceship, our heroes finally see a way off the asteroid. The alien ship is capable of running off plain water of which our team has more than enough back at their destroyed vessel. As they form into small teams to recover the H2O, Atom continues to have bizarre physical reactions from his exposure to the mysterious alien crystals. Evelyn has similar reactions when she is infected by the crystals during a battle with the worms. While trying to evade the creatures, Atom and Evelyn take a detour through a tunnel that leads them straight to the core of the asteroid. It is there they discover the well-hidden secret about the true purpose and nature of the asteroid. But in making this discovery, they have put Earth itself at risk and forever altered the course of humanity.
