No wonder Zee hates puppets
What's Good?
It's not surprising that Oscar Hampel's story was missing a few pages. When I said in the previous issue that Zee had a heart of an angel for listening to Hampel's story, I also should note that she's not stupid either, so using a magical crystal to get the real truth out of him was a nice touch. On another note, Brother Night makes an appearance who will probably be a threat again to Zee. To how he's back is a mystery for now.
Again, I come to appreciate Cliff Chiang's art style with Dini's story. With the puppet storyline getting interesting, I like the haunting feeling of the return of Brother Blood. Chiang's artwork with Zatanna looks great as well.
What's Bad?
The cliffhanger is both predictable and weird. I know it's not the end of this story arc, but with this issue, it almost feels like it is the end. I am curious on how Zee will get out of the mess she's in.
Overall: Great read. As I wrote before, I'm curious on how Zee will get out of her predicament.
