Brett Rattner gets a lot of flack over X-Men 3. He has plans for adapting Rob Liefeld's Youngblood (and we've heard how Liefeld gets some flack sometimes too). Now Rattner has told MTV that he would like to get Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, to be in the movie (and we really know how much flack Twilight gets).
I just smell trouble brewing for this movie. I know Youngblood has its critics but I don't think it's a horrible concept. I like the idea of a team of heroes having some celebrity status. If we actually had dudes (and gals) running around saving us in the 'real world,' people would eat it up. I think superheroes would be 'bigger' than movie actors. He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor.
[Pattinson] could do anything. He just has that look. I picture him on Youngblood, for sure.
What do you think of Pattinson in the movie? He does have 'star appeal.' I'm not saying you may find him appealing but people know who he is since Twilight has an army of fans. The real question is would he want to do it? Could he do it with all the Twilight movies planned? Are you willing to give the Youngblood movie a chance?
