And it begins!
I still say her death is just a ploy, it has to be a faked death!
Team » Young Justice appears in 269 issues.
Something isn't as it seems... it can't be. They wouldn't give away her death that early if she really dies later. At least, I wouldn't think so.
If she is dead, then screw it. Just screw it. I'm sick of my favorite characters dying off in almost every show and other form of story I read and watch... it's just depressing.
@mfundo: In the first couple of minutes there's a flash forward to Nightwing giving her CPR and then stating she's dead. Then it flashes back to the story leading up to it. It had better be a ploy to garner suspense. If she's really dead... well, stating how upset I'd be at this point would just be redundant.
I absolutely call shenanigans on her death! 100% bs! I dont believe it, she's not dead, it's just a ploy, end of story! lol
...but anyways, Carol Ferris! Hope to see Star Sapphire soon as well...and FINALLY! We're seeing some interaction between Superboy-Lagoon Boy-Miss Martian. It's about time we see some awkwardness going on with their strange relationship situation!
It's official, Superboy and Megan broke up because Superboy found out she used her psychic powers to alter his thoughts about her "abuse" of telepathic abilities.

I am still waiting to see episode 31 but time Warner will not put it on on demand yet for some unknown reason. I there another place where this show could be viewed?
Youtube.

There is soooo much foreshadowing in this episode... lol
yeah the part with Artemis ducking out and Nightwing yanking her back was funny (but I still say its because she's doing it on purpose)
@mfundo: they were fighting just now on this episode and that was the reason giving by them for the breakup. (it probably happened during the gap)
@Ravager4: she's not dead for real! the scene with Kaldur and Black Manta COMPLETELY gave it away, Black Manta was testing Kaldur the whole time and he "passed", so its definitely a fake death.
AND I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA FAKE FAKE FAKE

....I take back everything I just said. holy shit
Yeah, I gladly eat my own words
Artemis fakes her death, Kaldur is a mole, CALLED IT! TOTALLY CALLED IT!
called it called it called it called it called it! YEAHHHH lmao
@Ravager4: but aren't you glad they didn't drag out these storylines over the break? they could've made us wait over the hiatus to find out the true status of Artemis and Aqualad and that would've painful, but they didnt thank goodness lol

Do we get to see Wally's reaction to her death? Is he in on it? Any indication to that?
@ThexX: I think Wally is upset because now Artemis has to stay out of sight and away from Wally. If there's a new girl staying around Wally after his girlfriend's death, the bad guys will probably be suspicious. So she has to lie low and away from Wally, they have to spend time apart.
@WZA: It's the last episode, we got to wait after the break now, but I'm not so mad since they wrapped up the few questions we had left... the only thing now is, Lagoon Boy's fate, but under Aqualad's protection he'll be fine...he actually might be part of the plan too...
@Underachiever007: Yes, he knew. The only people who knows are Aqualad, Nightwing, Artemis, and Wally. They all know that Aqualad is a mole and that Artemis faked her death. Although Zatanna might know because she provided an amulet that prevents people from seeing Artemis, she will look normal to only those three people but to the rest of the world she'll appear different.
@Bestostero: Even though people managed to predict that twist, it sure beats the Hell out of turning the most straight-edged person in the group evil and killing Artemis for no reason. I approve.
@Ravager4: Lol. Yeah, It's okay. I actually had the same reaction when I saw it. & then like 3 minutes later I was okay. This show is really messing with my emotions.
This episode was awesome. Fishqo knows too well how to be a bad guy. He's still my favorite character no matter which side he's on. I actually wish he killed Artemis, even though she's my second favorite. I'm glad that we finally have an episode with this much shock value. First in a long, long time. As usual, my least favorite parts were of the Superboy/Martian relationship crud, and this episode took it's time for anything to happen, but once it did, it got real.
@Underachiever007: Actually Zatanna doesn't know, Nightwing said he only borrowed it from her because of their past connection so she doesnt know. I'm surprised Miss Martian and Superboy don't know, she's a telepath, couldn't she tell? but yes. this episode gets two thumbs up from me, probably the best episode of this season so far.
Also, did anyone besides me think the Artemis' new identity looked a little like an animated version of Linda Park (The comic-book version that's married to Wally, not the real-world actress of the same name)? Just saying... if that was the creator's intention... that'd be pretty clever.
To recap the important points:
1. Roy Harper is under Green Arrow and Red Arrow guard in Star City (although this part was only mentioned and not seen, and thinking about it, he will probably be given Artemis bow since she wont be using it and based on the promo picture)
2. Bart is staying with Jay and Joan. (again only mentioned and not seen)
3. Superboy broke up with Miss Martian because she alter his thoughts on her actions towards enemies and he found out. He tells her she's no different than Psimon.
4. Lagoon Boy is taken hostage.
5. Aqualad, Nightwing, Wally and Artemis are all in cahoots. Aqualad is a mole and Artemis faked her death to solidify his position to Black Manta.
I guess the only disappointment here is that Arrowette isn't joining after all, but i thought it was a good way to end for the break. they wrapped up a lot of loose ends, but left it open for enough for us to want more.

@The_Eurythmic_King_of_Nowhere: Now that you mention it the two do look almost exactly alike...
Wouldn't it be crazy if she takes on the alias Linda Park from now on and marries Wally West? It's like she'll be Young Justice universe version of Linda Park lol
It wasn't as predictable. It could have gone either way. I'm glad it went they way it did. This episode was awesome! But it wouldn't have been what it was without the build up of the others. Like ive said before this show is well done. Every episode is an important piece to the bigger picture. People don't make shows like this anymore that's way it might seem odd to some of the impatient people out there. Overall great show, great series. I'm glad I was on since day 1.

I'm extremely giddy with joy! Now they need a future episode with the twins :P
I'm actually interested to see how Cheshire reacts to this, too. It looked like she was starting to settle down with Clone Roy after they found the real Roy, so they could raise their daughter. But when she finds out that her sister got 'killed' on a mission after being called up basically out of retirement for a mission, I wonder if she'll try to take revenge or something.

Revenge on Aqualad or the team?

Oh interesting, that can put a huge wrench in their plan! Cheshire definitely has a soft spot for Artemis, she saved her before when Superboy caused the avalanche that almost did her in.

My guess: both.
@Underachiever007: could go either way. my first inclination would be the team for putting Artemis in that position. or you could go with the switch and have her initially go after the team, but then be talked down into helping them against kaldur or something. It could work both ways.
@Ravager4: This could actually be a very real possibility. No way they're letting Cheshire in on the plan. She's too untrustworthy. She may definitely try to take revenge.
On the flip side of the argument, you could say that going against the team could sour her relationship with Roy, destroying her plans of building a stable family for her daughter.
Well if you think about it, it could actually benefit the team cause if Cheshire goes after them, it will only make the bad guys believe that Kaldur did turn and that Artemis is really dead.
So it works to their advantage, and it's Nightwing, I'm sure he accounted for Cheshire.
