Hmm, I Wonder If Loki Will Show Up -_-

Young Avengers, despite its earnest attempts, has not charmed me much. Sure, there are always a couple good panels in each issue that is both creative and eye-catching. But the plot as a whole is so base and disinteresting, it's hard to be ethusiastic about any of it.

This is, more or less, a final confrontation of the parasite within this story arch. That means a lot of fighting that really isn't creative or all that interesting. But, we do get a nice look at Loki's character from a serious perspective, which is a nice change. It would have been nice to know some of this beforehand, but at least the series got around to it eventually.

Wiccan is still way too angsty for my taste, but the story utilizes this to tackle a rather difficult topic. Kate is still fairly bland, especially compared to who she is in Hawkeye, and the rest of the characters are fairly one dimensional, which is always frustrating for me to see.

I honestly don't plan on delving any further into this book, although it was kind of nice while it lasted. It's just not the sort of plot that intrigues me, and goes through pains to make the story a bit too simplified and overly symbolic for my taste.
