    But Moooooooooooooom!!!

This series just gets a little more absurd every time. And no, not in the FF kind of way, more in the "why the hell did anyone think this was an acceptable plot" kind of way. If it wasn't for the occasionally above par dialogue and the great art, I'd call this a pretty poor series. As it stands, it still remains at average.

So, this book uses magic to rationalize a lot of what they do, which is really frustrating. Unlike most other things in this universe, magic doesn't really have all that many rules to follow, leaving us to be led by the nose as the book tries to communicate that there are "rules" of some capacity for what is more or less driving the plot. However, this leads to a lot of talking about almost nothing, which grows tiresome, especially towards the end of this issue. The characters are still rather enjoyable, although I've come to find Loki as more of an obnoxious hindrance than as an asset of the book. Most who talk about it claim he's the stand-out character, but I'd disagree, as just about everyone else is more favorable. Hulkling is probably the best of the group, as he's well fleshed out and emotionally interesting. Wiccan's a whiny pain, Miss America is a Latin bad-ass stereotype, and the other two characters still haven't shown up to do anything.

When push comes to shove, this will be pushed off my pull list, but, for now, I'll finish this story line, because it's not terrible and my girlfriend already owns the other 2 issues, so why the heck not. For those buying it, though, don't waste your hard-earned cash and look to another book.

I was really looking forward to this series before it came out, hoping for a fun series, but to be honest it hasn't been as good as I'd hoped for, and just keeps getting worse. Hopefully it turns round though, as I'd still like this to be a good series.PlotWiccan and Hulkling are stopped by Laufey when taking Loki to Asgard, getting attacked by the Frost Giant, and when Ms. America comes to help she is followed by her parents.ReviewThis was another disappointing issue, and both this issue, and t...
