Young Allies meet the Bastards of Evil

    Cover

I love the cover because it continues in the back of the issue too and shows the whole young ally team.

    Story

The story starts out with the origin of Toro. He was captured by the government to become a super solider and he was picked to have the serum. Nomad and Arana are introduced and they are fighting guys and know each other’s secret identity and also go to the same high school. Firestar and Gravity go to the same graduate school but, do not know each other yet. There is an explosion. Toro sees it but, cannot do anything about it because the police said there is lockdown. Nomad and Arana start fighting the kids of villains. Then firestar comes to help too and Gravity. Then Arana is thrown in to the Eifel Tower and Toro catches her. Then there is an even bigger explosion.

    Best Part

I really enjoyed the relationship between Nomad and Arana and to see how close they are to each other. I also liked to see how all these superheroes see each other in their secret identities and do not even notice they are anyone special.

    Worst Part

    There was no worse part!!!

    Art

I really enjoyed the art it was nothing great but, it was not bad either. It told the story well and there were no faults with it. My favorite part is the fire on firestar I think that looks great.

    Pick it up or not

    Pick it up!!!!!!!!!!

Young Allies begins with the origin of Toro, a new hero in the current Marvel universe, but a familiar face to those who read the Heroes Reborn event in 1997. The other heroes in the Young Allies’ lineup incl...

      Missing Marvel Link 0

This could be possibly be what Marvel Comics is missing with the absence of the New Warriors and lack of a regular Spider-Girl or Young Avengers series. Sean McKeever and David Baldeon inject a little youth in the Marvelverse with realistic characterization of five young adults and supporting cast. A solid foundation is built for our heroes to form a team of their own and I'm excited to see where things go for the Young Allies. Their first battle proves to be against the B@stards of Evil, who at...
