Motherland: Conclusion last edited by gravenraven on 05/29/23 12:10AM View full history

The jaw-dropping conclusion of the four-part "Motherland" story arc. Now that the mystery behind who (or what) has caused the gendercide has been solved, one member of Yorick's crew will take her leave in the hopes of reversing the effects. But is it too late?

SCENE 1 : Hero and the other ladies have made it to France. Hero says her goodbyes before she begins to look for her brother and Beth. They talk about how the Israeli army is still after them. Scene 2 : Allison Mann's father is about to kill Yorick and himself, but we find out that Allison undid her morphine drip, so she stands ready to fight her father with a scalpel in her hand. Scene 3 : Allison's mother walks into the room where Rose is hanging. She looks out the window to see both 355 and Toyota laying in pools of their own blood. 355 had been stabbed in the stomach during their fight. SCENE 4 : Allison Mann and her father get into a fight, during which Allison stabs him with the same chemical he was about to kill Yorick with. SCENE 5 : Two weeks later, 355 is waking up. Her and Dr. Mann talk about the future. SCENE 7 : Allison and Yorick say goodbye to each other. Scene 8 : In Paris, Beth is looking for Yorick.

    Saying Goodbye 0

So, Allison Mann and Rose have decided to stay behind and with this one issue the merry band that we have been following all this time is cut down by fifty percent. Considering this should have been an emotional issue, I just didn't get to feeling that way. I guess we have seen these characters build up such rough exteriors, that even when it was time for them to be emotional, it almost didn't ring true. A sad thing considering that this is all there is to the issue. It's like that quiet issue...
