While riding another train, our travelers come across a Russian lady trying to reach Kansas where she believes her countries only living cosmonaut will land. He has been trapped in a space station with two American astronauts, one female and another male.

Meanwhile the astronauts plan their decent, and their eventual landing, including talking about precautions against the plague that wiped out all the other men, and their biggest problem, the aging fuel they have to use to land.

The now all female Israeli army is on what they consider a "wild goose chase" and are loosing patience with the person supplying information about Yorrick. In a fit of anger the leader "Alter" demands the identity of the informant.
