I second that. I spent a good slice of my childhood desperately wanting to be a mutant; I'd go in a heartbeat.

Not me. I made the "Favorite and Least Favorite Marvel Hero?" and so on, with villians and different universes. I also got my but handed to me by P-Man in this Superman hate thread. Click my name for all of my posts.

For training yes, then leave immediately thereafter.

I always felt Xavier's approach to be hypocritical: Fighting for tolerance and acceptance while hiding behind the walls of his school, separating the X-Men from society. Acceptance comes through familiarity, living and working side by side humans, with not showing up only when loads of property damage is ensuing.

...and yes, I too have been waiting for that letter for some time.

Either that, or a gateway to Middle Earth with an invitation to join the Rohirrim.

I'd go, develop my powers, watch my depowered friends being killed and then engage in ruthless vengance.

I will give it a go, if I like the school I stay. If I don't, I might give it a try with the Inner Circle of Hellfire's Club or a one on one training with The Celestials.
