    Whores, Whores, Whores, Whores, Whores

My 1st thought when I open this comic was "Hey I didn't know Frank Miller wrote the X-men" of course he didn't but you would think he did for one simple reason Rogue, Storm and Psylocke all look like they belong in the upcoming Frank Miller Comic "X-men Age of Whores". Okay I've ripped on Frank Miller enough for now but with a book like this it just feels like he should have wrote it but apparently we should alert the CDC that Frank Miller Syndrome appears to be contagious because the guy who wrote this shit stain was a guy by the name of Chris Claremont. Now I myself have never read anything of his besides this comic and if his other work is anything like this I probably never will cause this was just shit. Well no more delaying it time in dive in and go right to the Titty bar with X-Women #1.
Now I don't usually begin my reviews by talking about the cover but this book is just asking for it. The 1st thing that caught my eye was Rogue the southern bell of the X-Men ....doing a poll dance. Are sure this book doesn't belong in the porn section? Oh well let's see what else we have on this cover that demeans woman okay how about Storm looking like she's two steps away from going lesbian which while the thought of is kinda sexy it flat out doesn't belong in an X-Men book it's just stupid. Sexy. But stupid. Okay enough about the cover I don't feel the need to mention Psylocke lets move on to the story. This is all about the girls getting a much vacation and apparently it's clothing optional which doesn't doesn't bother me all that much but odd for a X-Men book. Now one panel in particular caught my eye as well as a few other reviewers of this shit fest and this is what it is Storm falling off a water fall and getting caught by who I think is Kitty Pryde who after this I don't think has all that much pride left. In a position that remarkably close to a 69er if you don't know what it is I'm not going to explain it. Okay I can't do this anymore this is just too stupid and a waste of my time to go any further and if I had to guess what the target audience of a book like this would be it would have to be the weirdos you find on the subway at two in the morning. That surprisingly resemble Tommy Wiseau watch the Room if you want to know more about him it's pretty bad it was some of the worst acting I've ever seen in my life. I'm The Angry Comic Book Critic Saying this gets two stamps of approval one for us normal people and one for Frank Miller.

AboutThe X-Women ( Shadowcat, Psylocke, Rogue, Storm, Rachel Summers) go on vacation to a yacht which Rogue inherited or something (what the hell?). They enjoy the summer sun, until suddenly, Rachel is kidnapped by the Baroness and her minions. The X-Women set out to reclaim their friend and stop the Baroness' master plan.  Good PointsThe story was quite interesting and it was enjoyable, X-Women #1 definately surprised me. *Okay, I thought that title was hilarious so I had to use it.  X-Women is a weird story. I ran into Chris Claremont at the Calgary Comic Con and he had the European version of it and I briefly got to talk to him about it. Apparently it was originally called Girls Just Want to Have Fun and wasn't in English. After knowing this you can start to see how X-Woman became the way it is. It's European to the core: small square panels, lighter colours, sexier times than we North Americans are used to. Al...
