This is becoming a slap in the face to the franchise, the audience, and past writers. I can't believe I paid actual money for this. But I get that's what I deserve for getting my hopes up with Disney/Marvel

Funny, all they're doing is costing themselves money. So many X-Men fans have dropped them due to Marvel's treatment, and none of the other teams sell no where nearly as well as the X-Men used to. But I guess you can afford that when you're owned by Disney.

Let's see, they haven't lost to the Defenders yet.

Maybe it is coincident. I think one time the X-Men and the Shi'ar fight each other but I think they are in good terms. But anyway, I think Marvel set up these plans to make the X-Fans come back to read the new Marvel.

Most popular team before Avengers came around with some of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel universe equals instant popularity. That's how I see it. No excuse, but that is what I came up with.

@poisonfleur: You forgot the 1980s fights. Fantastic Four vs Xmen and Xmen vs Avengers. Probably more but those i remeber of the top of my head. Its not a recent thing. Fantstic Four used to be the comics that people would use to jump start characters, then it became the XMen well...still the xmen haha

Because while they have a few extremely powerful characters, most of them are street level and because of that you can make a team of 5 to 10 characters with weak but cool powers fight a powerful character and make fun scenarios.

Maybe Marvel will make Eternals vs X-Men. I always like the Eternals a lot more than the Inhumans.

The Avengers arent relevant because of AvX, they're relevant because of the MCU.

This is the second time marvel was nice enough to let the x-men be relevant enough to take part in their hero fights normally its just all about the avengers. hero on hero action.

AvX wasn't about X-men making Avengers more popular, it was about putting X-men in their place. It was a moral defeat and final corporate announcement - Avengers are the guys that to be Marvel's face from now on. They can hijack any (X-)story and shit allover it with Captain Nazi I mean Captain America self-righteous bravado as the final nail, which makes little sense in story, but that story doesn't have to make sense as long as victors are already appointed. Just in case anyone had doubts.

Considering AvX was Marvel biggest event to ever to date-- have several seats...
