Storm.
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Who is your favorite female member of the X-Men?
Storm.
same here
Kitty Pryde's my favorite X-man period.
For only female characters, Storm, Emma, and Mystique would all be pretty close.
Its hard for me to pick "a" favorite. I love Storm, Emma, Rogue, Rachel Grey, Dani Moonstar, Psylocke and Monet. I love those.
For instance, in my opinion Monet would be and would have been the best candidate to be the new Ms. Marvel. That title should go to an established character not a newly created one. Plus she's got all the characteristics of the new Ms.Marvel if that's what they were going for as far as diversity is concerned.
I love that Storm is leading a group of xmen. I always thought that her Extreme Sanctions Executive was a great interpretation of Xavier's dream and should actually be revisited in some way.
Rogue is awesome. Rachel has always been a better developed character than Jean. Emma should be running the school. And Dani is versatile for a school or an xforce. Psylocke is versatile too.
@oldnightcrawler: Damn man. I'm sure you can't be happy that she's no longer in the x-books and off doing whatever with GOTG. What have you thought about her characterization recently?
Overall, I have to go with Jean Grey, but it's tough. Storm was my second favorite X-Men character when she lead them in the 80s and had the mohawk, but I haven't read any X-Men comics with her past the 90s though. The X-Men have so many incredible female characters: Storm, Jean Grey, Rogue, Emma Frost, Rachael Grey, Psylocke, and X-23. I haven't kept up with the current comics, so I'm sure there's a ton of awesome ones that I haven't seen.
Jubilee: Bring the Optimism
I'm soooo tempted to say Rogue (the wily wild card) or Storm (the fierce warrior), but I'm swaying towards Jubilee for good reasons:
Her role in Xavier's school highlights how the Professor's vision for mutants on Earth creates a real lasting hope for peaceful co-existence, and, furthermore, her place by Xavier's side cements the strong symbol connection between the mutant world (i.e., capitalism) and the real world (i.e., orphanage investments).
Aye but apparently it isn't easy being a X-character. We have to take what we can get. At least the Hellfire and Legion TV shows were announced so maybe one day. Besides the last Jackman Wolverine movie will apparently go in the Old Man Logan direction which could mix pretty well with introduction of X-23. Not that I have any expectations. That will only lead to disappointment.
While I don't watch Netflix I heard it would get around the problems that the US movie rating system seems to have. If we are honest the Wolverine movies for example should have been R-rated to give them justice but money speaks louder than that.
Pretty much the same deal with X-23. Earlier in her life she definitely had no problem with showing off that she is a trained killer.
it will always be the X-Men's one and only goddess
And where have you been? Haven't seen you posting in the longest.
@oldnightcrawler: agreed! Sometimes I like Cyclops or Magneto a bit more than Kitty (they probably make up my top 3 favorites), but I think she represents everything Xavier stood for better than any other character. And she straddles being admirable and relatable really well. Cool powers as well.
I love Emma Frost. I think that under the right writer she's a great source of comic relief, which the X-Men need! She's also a bit tragic. Mystique is a really inconsistent character (Bendis did a horrible job with her) but she's fascinating. I'm eager to see what Lamire is able to achieve with Storm. For me her character has never fulfilled her potential, although I haven't read her solo series. Great power set and character design though.

ah, I haven't read much with her in it in a while, but I dunno. it honestly doesn't bother me to see Kitty have other kinds of adventures besides X-men stories.
Wooh boy.
Jean Grey (I STILL think the Ms. Marvel or Mrs. Marvel designation should have been her codename after she graduated)
Monet
Polaris
Magik
Dazzler (I have a major soft spot for her)
Psylocke (British Version - ninja version never stood out to me)
Karma (I like the character, despite some issues with her - writers tend to not know what to do with her LOL...including Chris Claremont)
Tough choice, it's between Magik and Jean Grey for me, although I'm also a big fan of X-23 and Psylocke, sometimes Rogue depending on writer and artist.
Honestly this is really hard to decide, just a testament to how many great characters the X-Men are packing, both genders. You could probably ask me for my top 20 female characters in all of comics and most of them would be mutants.
i like Monet too.

I knew we got along for some reason! Yeah, Kitty is my favorite X-Men as well. Followed by Polaris, Iceman, Pixie, and Mirage.
Shame what has been done to Kitty lately :/
Polaris and Scarlet Witch
And Scarlet Witch was an X-men. Either in Age of Apocalypse or in Ultimate, but she was an X-men.
