I'm one of those people who hate the idea that the Phoenix is a thing that requires a host. I know it's a long, forgone conclusion but I like the idea that the Phoenix was just Jean's code name when she used the full extent of here powers.

Rachel for sure, hers is just kind of natural. Jean should of ended imo after the dark phoenix, even if you want to bring her back she should of been separate from the Phoenix. Then Cyclops cause echo is just, no lol

1. Rachel's portion was just enough to amp her, but not enough to drive her completely bonkers. She gets the nod for staying sane.

3. The Phoenix Five looked the best - those uniforms were next level. The Cuckoos as Phoenix were actually pretty awesome as well. But it's still got to be Jean.

1) Don’t know if this question is referring to best in preference or most powerful?

Either way, I choose Jean Grey.

3) Jean, but Rachel and Hope are good alternatives.

4) God, Thane was a terrible host. Firehair is a blatantly empty clone of Jean Grey, with very few redeeming qualities. And Echo is just a waste of potential. Don’t even get me started on a good chunk of the Avengers chosen for the Phoenix Tournament, though there are some gems that should have stayed longer, like Shanna, Dr. Doom, and the Valkyrie.

Aside from the original dark phoenix saga, the phoenix 5 is the only one I've enjoyed
