@mcklayn: Eh....maybe after psylocke or Nova. Idk. I like her character...but as a team telepath I'm not always a fan of how shes used.

@koays: I love sage, id like to see her in more books but honestly she has what? one two runs? Extreme X men and the Uncanny that was a direct extension of it?

Not a fan of anyone here. Psylocke is my least disliked of the bunch though. Could've thrown in Nate, Cable, or Stryfe. Would've picked any of them over the ones listed.

@mcklayn: Lol you know the more i think about it, my vision for the X-Men at full strength definetly has a tactical analyst like Sage in a sort of threat assessment capacity. Like really putting the team to good use in the field taking on things that need to be taken out and sort of stopping the morality debates that seem to keep fracturing the team with some cold logic.

@koays: Yea, like when she would be at whatever base with a million screens barking out facts and tracking threats ect. I liked that, I really dont see her much as a telepath as much as a big brain on mic keeping track of stuff. I would put her more into league with Beast, Forge or Dr nemesis but I can see based off her power why she is in this group i guess

@mcklayn: Yea shes great in a support role. Honestly I would love her Nemesis Beast and Forge working as the X-Mens new science squad. They just make the team seem so much more formidable.

I was a really big fan of the Utopia era and the entire way the X men functioned at that point, sure the art was well. pornstar like and it was almost Cyclops and the X men, but the way they functioned with one head and a lot of different squads with different goals was really cool, and X club or whatever it was called was one i really liked. They made sense as support characters in alot of books and even had their own limited series which I think could very easy be made into a full time book (exploring and fighting scientific mysteries!)

@pyrofn: That's...nice and all, but it just said which telepath do you like most, and even if I'm limiting to X characters, no one listed even cracks my top 5.

@mcklayn: I always thought she was a technopath until I actually read a wiki on her. Afterwards, I just became confused and read it multiple times. I still only have a vague understanding of Sages abilities. Still, that vague understanding and her obscurity does leave a lot of room for imagination. Like I imagine her having her own Cerebro unit installed in her glasses to augment her psychic abilities and have a look at the world at large. Or give her an Omni-directional chair similar to like gamer chairs and have her spinning in an spherical contraption as she drives a vehicle so that she can aim at enemy fire or just have a flexible view of the battle field. Or give her her own mini-Danger Room, where she creates constructs from her glasses and psychic abilities. So much potential.

@indomitableregal: Not meaning to limit you or say your wrong (even though your opinion is factually wrong, :P). It just makes sense as to why they chose these four over others like Nate Grey, Onslaught, Legion, Shadow King. The only telepath that I do think they missed is Professor X.

Emma grew on me during the Decimation, but since Bendis she's unrecognizable mess.

JG is a bore, her resurrection made it crystal clear to me.

Psylocke needs to be put in her place, her arrogance is insufferable. Imbalancedly so, which is also recent.

And Rachel works only in very specific conditions to me.

Rachel and Jean often switch back and forth for me in my top spot, but lately I've been thinking that perhaps they need to do something new with Jean. A more villainous bent without going full on black mask. For instance I really like when the AU version of Jean went DeathSeed.

They should try that in the prime universe.
