I do not generally like codenames but I would prefer a codename than none when every other team member has one. I do not mind 'Prestige', though Askani would be more appropriate.

I like that Rachel has a name that isn't something stupid like "marvel girl" I just wish it was something that actually didn't seem to weird and unfitting lol. I mean when I hear the name Prestige i think either some kinda royal or a magician.

I would have been better to just called her something like Crimson cause she always wears red and super heroes like to label themselves with cool words for color. That or maybe Psionic? I don't think anyone has used that neat sounding for for psychic mumbo jumbo.

Actually a long time ago when I was thinking of a good real code name for Jean Grey I thought Entelechy would kinda work since it has "tele" in the middle of the word which makes me think of telepathy or telekinetic, but it also just means "The realization of potential." which kinda actually its Rachel as well as Jean. /shrug

Either way I'm glad Rachel actually has a code name now.

Yeah, Prestige doesn't feel personalized, and when you said that it makes you think of a magician, I LOLed. (Presto!) Anyone can be Prestige, and if you can believe me, I considered the name years ago. It's like Phenom or Cynosure.

Entelechy feels cool but cumbersome. Would shortening it to Entel or Telechy ruin it? I still like that you have a scheme because I crave structuring. It wouldn't matter what you did as long as you had a plan.

Whenever possible, I like a method of using their names to determine code names. Quentin Quire as Psire because it plays on psi, rhymes with his surname, and wanting to be the Shadow King seems to be something he'd want to do. Daken as Wolven because both names end the same and the code name relates it to Wolverine. Tabby Smith as Smithereen (She blew it to smithereens.) Jean Grey as Genie because it sounds like her name and makes you think "gene". Alakazam!

I'm with you. Just make Rachel, Rachel. Her mother shied away from codenames so she should too. To me not having a codename means you're too much of a boss to hide.

I wonder if there will be an explanation about her scars being gone now. I hope they are truly actually gone gone now. The new face tattoo or paint or what ever though is arguably worse... can Rachel just go back to not having shit all over her face please?

There's no explanation needed. When she was branded by the Shi'ar Nightcrawler wondered, given her power, why she just didn't remove it. It was probably because she wanted to be reminded why she was fighting. Rachel even without the Phoenix had more than enough power to do more than just telepathically conceal her facial tattoos, but she also wanted to remember why she fought so hard to take back her life. After being lost in the time stream those tattoos were gone because basically the timeline she received them in no longer existed, so she no longer needed them as a reminder of her time there.

I get it but it annoys me more to think that a telekinetic that can change her genome needs an explanation as to why tattoos she doesn't want are gone.

For some reason it just doesn't feel/look like Rachel when it's not incredibly 90'ties looking (as in showing off alot of skin or covered in spikes.)

Aside that, I don't get why she wants or needs a new codename... like are the X-Men going to start calling her that in the field? And why have one when she's never bothered concealing her identity?

I know they giving her a codename but I'm still calling her Rachel Grey. It's like calling Emma Frost, the White Queen. It's just eccentric.

I hope there is a good reason or backstory for that name. And I would like to see her having some new powers or something similar
