Overall I'm not happy with the change in body nor the change in power. My only hope is that now she's likely a pure telepath again, hopefully she will get some nice TP feats

@elpendejo: I would've liked it if it was done to explore how the change would affect her, but I have a feeling that's not really gonna happen, which would make it just another illusory change with no real effect.

I'll be pretty disappointed if they make her purely telepathic now. Her psychic weapons and ninja skills are what made her unique.

Actually I’m glad Psylocke is back to her old telepathy only days. It makes her unique amoung the mutant psychics because the TP and TK combo is more of a Grey family thing.

Heck if they wanted to make Betsy really unique couple her TP with her original precog powers. That would really set her apart from the others.

How does only having telepathy make her unique? There are wayyyy too many telepaths already. There are only a handful of characters with both TK & TP and Psylocke was the most unique among them, especially since she was the only one NOT in the Grey line

Going back to her og body makes sense from a character perspective (and technically would have been something Betsy should have tried years ago). But she was pretty much unique among telepaths in the beginning by her power being an "always on" radar type thing. If I remember rightly, it basically meant she constantly picked up people's thoughts regardless of whether she was actively trying to read them or not compared to everyone else only getting surface stuff if it was mentally 'shouted.'

Is this still a thing with her or something that's been thrown aside because no one remembered it?

Well known mutants with just TP. Charles, Emma and Betsy.

Therefore she is now more unique.

Cassandra Nova, Shadow King, Stepford Cuckoos, Mirage, Blindfold, Karma, Mastermind, Lady Mastermind, Mesmero. All of them have some form of telepathy and not TK.

Furthermore, 5 of the 6 characters you named with TK & TP are part of the Grey line. The only unique ones were Quentin and Betsy

@geekryan: Okay, maybe it’s a no with Captain Britain Betsy, but I’m desperate for a status quo change for her. It feels like forever since she’s done something to make her stand out from her peers.

And yes, there are way too many X psychics now.

She's been getting more and more powerful in the last few years. All they needed to do was keep making her more powerful and give her some better feats while still keeping her as the psychic ninja she has been. I don't think it was necessary for them to revert her back to her British body. But whatever, I guess we'll see what they do with her.

@ashetdust@geekryan Monet also has TP and TK to an extent haha. But overall, I say Betsy having Tk and TP made her more unique not because of how many other people share the powerset, but because of how she used it. Her TK constructs have been her primary method of fighting for the past few years and it's unique compared to the rest of the TK users who mostly just throw people/things and blast stuff. That being said, her TP is still unique in that she uses the psychic knife I suppose

X-Man is going back to godlike powers in his own event.

Cable pulled a Magneto and got younger in what’s practically his own event.

Madelyne is MIA.

Goblin Queen is out there with her sisters.

The dead Grey members have been an illusion by the Phoenix to Jean in Phoenix Resurrection. They were avenged earlier by Rachel.

Rachel is still around and an X-Man and is going to be in one of the most anticipated battles to date so far in Red.

This has been a busy time for the Grey family.

@pyrofn: Too bad about the loss of Telekinesis though. I was noticing that Psylocke had personality and power traits similar to Emma and Jean, but it’s kinda of less so without the tk.

@elpendejo: For me, I think what differentiated Psylocke from the rest of the psychics was her fighting style. She was an up-close psychic first and foremost, yet she still knew when to use long-range projectiles. The loss of her ninja status is a shame, but I hope she still keeps the martial arts. (Which seems apparent because of the presence of her psychic knives)
