Marvel now X-Factor (2014)

Gambit, Quicksilver, Porlaris and I think that's Cannonball in the list. More characters will join the team.

Not sure about the costumes. I think it has potential to be good. What do you think ?

Carmine Di Giandomenico: Drops hints about a shape-shifter joining the team. I wonder who he means Mystique or one of the new mutants from Cyclops team.

I hope that is Speed and not Quicksilver... Quicksilver joining up with the x-men just by association with his Dad seems pretty unrealistic. Plus with the Young Avengers getting Prodigy it's only fair that the x-men get Speed.

.....Never really found X-factor interesting. Although Gambit should bring it's popularity up-- even though his new costume is... ugh..
If I were to be excited about something. It would be Polaris and Quicksilver's interactions.

Looking forward to this. Sad that some of the characters I have long associated with X-Factor will not be there but am interested. Gambit seems

like he will be the most high profile character so far, will he be the leader? I have faith in peter David and am willing to give this a chance.

I will read it as I have read the previous runs on the series. I like Peter David as a writer. Im kinda surprised by the cast and feel that Gambit fits somewhere else as does Cannonball. Also are we sure thats Cannonball and not Cypher? I still kinda wish for the Valerie Cooper liasoned team that may work with Shield or be the XSE deal that Storm set up. This corporate idea could be interesting depending on whos heading this up and funding it. Will Xfactor be used as heroes for hire or as a mutant police force or in a similar fashion to DC's Suicide Squad? Im definitely interested to see.

The blonde guy is likely Cypher, and the hooded fellow is supposedly, the shapeshifter, Warlock. This is all conjecture though.

I like the uniforms, but the guy in the middle makes me think of cannonball.

i'm with @emequious_swerve, the blonde guy looks like Cypher to me. Don't think they would use Cannonball so soon after his switch over to the Avengers. Although it does seem that Cannonball and Sunspot were forced into the Avengers roster by the Marvel bigwigs. So far Hickman hasn't had much use for them other than being token mutant guys.

I'm looking forward to see if Peter David can give Gambit the Madrox treatment........

@revamp: I think the guy is Cypher, I hope it's Cannonball though. Peter David should do a good job on Gambit.

They said Gambit would be the voice of the reader so that'll be interesting. Seems he'll play a significant role so I'm just glad that with his solo series ended he won't be relagated to being just another backround X-Men character.... he deserves much more.

@irishx: I agree, it's shocking to see how Marvel treated Gambit over the last couple of years.. Let's hope next year will be his year.

I would LOVE to see Sage on the team. She'd be a perfect fit for so many reasons!

I really cant picture Gambit on the team but Peter David is an awesome writer and Gambit might get the treatment he deserves. Sage would fit too though I kinda want her in Uncanny. I wish that was Cannonball also. I know I might get killed for this one but I want Lifeguard on the team as well as Dazzler and Nocturne.

@hawk2916: I wouldn't mind Dazzler or Lifeguard on the team. As long as the team makes sense. Bring on 2014.

I'm looking forward to this new X-Factor series. I heard Peter David speak about it at the Marvel Digital Unlimited Plus members panel at NYCC. Hearing him speak about the direction he's taking this new series has me excited for it.

It's Quicksilver. Peter David's confirmed that in the panel I attended.

You mean giving him his own mini and featuring him regularly in other X-titles? Poor Gambit. He's really been mistreated.

I liked most of the last X-Factor (some the final issues weren't great but oh well) so I'll give this a shot. I'll be interested to see who he adds to the cast.

@john_valentine: Giving him own series, which was rubbish by way. Gambit has been written well since the early 90's.
