Kind of underwhelming premise but I'm very willing to give this a shot. Hope Summers kind of killed my tolerance for 'infants who hold the key to X's survival'-style plots.

Not too concerned about redial buttons; Marvel exists in a quasi-futuristic yet modern time warp so their world doesn't align 100% with ours.

We still have them in the U.K.

If that means anything.

why is jubilee taking a train if she can teleport or is she no longer a vampire

@xspectre28: Last time I checked she could never teleport unless I missed something. She can run fast but she probably doesn't wanna risk injuring the baby she's carrying or get ambushed while running out in the fields or something like that with no cover to hide behind

The preview is pretty underwhelming, but I'm still getting this.

She can teleport, but the last time i checked, she couldn't teleport cross country. And it's not an aspect of her new abilities that she's been trying to perfect, being with child and all.

I'm just happy to get back to classic, cerebral, character-driven drama.

i think u missed something then @frozenedge because it states she can teleport in a mist form

This book is the first comic book i have ever preordered/reserved. I can't wait for Wednesday!

And so far this is the best #1 issue-- So far it looks better than Fearless Defenders, Wolverine and the X-men, Uncanny F-force and almost on par with All-New X-men.

Has potential to be one of the best X-comics to date!

I am in LOVE with this art!! I'm surprised that anyone still remembers Mercury or Bling! at all... I hate how they've become background characters. Maybe this series will fix that. Bling! was offered to join the X-Men at one point and now she's being treated like a 15 year old in a boarding school.

I miss when Mercury was an X-Men.

The preview makes me some how less interested in this book lol.

And out of all the X-Men books this art is the most boring.... in fact everything about this series seems really boring.

It's great to see them back, and especially intriguing given this preview. Hopefully we see more of a balance between the students and staff in this book; I'm almost as excited for that as for Storm's all-star team.

and, yeah, that art.. I feel like a kid at christmas.

Why is Rogue showing more skin than usual? Especially when walking through a school hallway that (until a moment ago) was filled with people who could brush up against her.

I'm looking forward to this title! I wasn't too impressed with Wood's miniseries for Wolverine and the X-Men (was anybody?), but he gets good reviews for Ultimate X-Men and it sounds like he knows what he's doing here with the gals.

I'm excited for this book... The Jubilee plot seems a little drag but I'll give it a chance.

But how does this fit in with continuity!? I see Glob Herman there on the first page... didn't he leave the school!?

So I guess we just assume the story starts before Glob left on the field trip in Wolverine & the X-Men #25 - Survival 101. It's not a big deal to me.

I just like when the continuity is constant and not convoluted! :P

I dunno. As long as continuity is consistent within a series, it doesn't bother me to see oh, this story started a few months ago; that's not terribly convoluted. It probably doesn't even make a difference to the story in this case.

As far as continuity goes, Marvel editorial is something of a joke right now so....

Anyways I like the lineup of this book and have no qualms about the creators, but right now I think I need a detox of everything X. The current X-universe leaves me feeling everything between frustration to straight up anger. That's a shame because this could be a straight-up old school x-book.

And, if Bling! isn't a member of the team, i at least hope Wood continues to have her be in some sort of supporting role--what with the attention he's seemingly giving her. This is why i'm such a Wood-proponent. Well-written, cerebral, character-driven drama, featuring fan-favorites while making good use of criminally underused B-List characters, too, and giving them development in spades, not just using them for the sake of doing so (and not going out of his way to create an incessant share of characters to the mythos that we won't care about in two - three years time). So damn reminiscent of Claremont. *chronos tear*

I don't consider those titles the flagship titles... if anything they're contained in their own little worlds, with this whole original X-Men/mutant revolution thing.

I added this to my pull without even reading it first. You could say I have high hopes. Also this is a way for me to segue into the X-Men monthlies, a way to start fresh.

I just hope Brian Wood doesn't have these girls only staying home and being involved in teenage drama. I want the character drama, just dont want him to sacrifice the chance for an all female team to be out on high stakes missions, against top villains, and kicking ass too. Hope this Wood guy is as good as they say...

Maybe they are roomies and Bling! tried to slip into her bed one too many times. No means no Bling! no means no. :p

I can't wait to read this, the art is wonderful I just hope that the story will be as good as the art, I don't like the fact that there is another baby mutant who "will save the world"(it's not the most original idea ever lol) but then I like the fact that some B-listers will be used together with the X-Women. I'm really excited about this, I just hope that it won't disappoint me

Actually, given how jaded people have had reason to become with both the X-men and the Marvel hype department in general, here's hoping it exceeds expectations.

I continue to be very excited about this.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but seriously, if anyone is going to pick this up at an LCS on Tuesday and is willing to give me the code (I'll send you my code when my copy from Midtown Comics shows up; I preordered the Campbell variant), that'd be really awesome.

On a side note, I only just realized that Jubilee is, by definition, a sparkly vampire. Which is kind of disappointing.
