    Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.

The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.

Lemme take a stab at this. I love some fantasy booking.

    X-MEN:

The X-Men (Cyclops, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Storm, and Beast) have separated ever since Jean Grey's death. This would all be after the Dark Phoenix Saga. I'd start it up with Cyclops visiting Jean's grave, mourning over her death. It makes his relationship with Emma very difficult as she loves him, but he can't seem to let Jean go. I'd take a page from the Astonishing run and have Emma actually make herself look like Jean at one point, which pisses Scott off. The other X-Men are scattered across the world, it's been peaceful, and Xavier's school is fully functional.

But a new threat arises. It wouldn't be Magneto, Sinister, Shaw, etc. It'd be a new villain that makes his presence known and is kidnapping Mutants in order to consume them to keep himself strong. The reason Xavier calls together the X-Men again is because one of his Mutant students -- Kitty Pryde is one of the Mutants that was captured. They do battle with this villain and his Sentinel bodyguards.

It'd be about Scott letting go of Jean, retaking his position as Leader, and loving Emma back, Emma's loyalty to him, and Colossus -- a young, unproven student -- would join the X-Men to help save Kitty since he's in love with her. I'd also tease a Logan/Storm pairing.

    X-MEN 2:

Following the events of the first film, the X-Men are a cohesive unit again. Scott is happy with Emma, and Colossus is with Kitty. They'd start on a routine mission, saving mutants from a Cargo ship that was shuttling them. The one new character I'd introduce and focus on would be Hisako AKA Armor. I would introduce her in a very controversial way. During a school shooting, Hisako steps in front of her friend to save her, but instead of being shot, her mutant powers emerge and her Armor blocks all the bullets. She then uses the same Armor to kill the shooter.

Xavier recruits her into the fold and she becomes and X-Man, and forms a Father/Daughter bond with Wolverine. Similar to Wolverine and Rogue's relationship from Singer's movies. Around this same time, Cassandra Nova has made herself known and with her strengthened Telepathy, she mentally manipulates the X-Men. She makes poor Hisako relive that school shooting, renders Scott comatose, and turns Beast feral so he fights Wolverine.

The final battle would be something a little different -- Emma and Xavier vs Cassandra Nova on the Astral Plane.

    X-MEN 3:

Magneto and his Brotherhood (Mystique, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Toad) arrive at the Xavier's school. The X-Men are ready for a fight, but Magneto isn't here for one. You find out that he's been gone for all this time because The Brotherhood has been trying to thwart the coming of Apocalypse, but they can't. Apocalypse and his Four Horseman are coming to cleanse the Earth where only the strongest will survive.

While the X-Men and Brotherhood get better acquainted, Apocalypse is gathering his Horseman: Angel, Psylocke, Banshee, and Caliban. A good portion of the third film will focus around this recruitment. The X-Men and Brotherhood eventually catch wind of what's going on and take them on. They get stomped in the first fight because both sides refuse to take orders from one another. This may or may not result in a couple of deaths.

The final battle in Egypt sees the fully united forces of the X-Men and the Brotherhood against Apocalypse and his Horseman. It'd be a pretty wild battle.

First movie would be about Magneto attacking humans. Second is all about Hell Fire club and Wolverine joining the Team. After that we will have X-Men Phoenix movie and later X-Men Dark Phoenix. Then we will have Prequel series of two movies with Younger X-Men and Wolverine's Origin. Then we are going back into Post Dark Phoenix with X-Men trying to recover from Jean's death but the movie will be Called X-Factor and their fight with Sinister as Well as Emma Frost becoming Scott's love interest. In the End at post credits he beings back Jean. I will post the rest later.

I would have a small core team of five X-Men (Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus and Rogue) who travel the world rescuing and recruiting mutants to join the school and develop their powers for the benefit of all human and mutantkind.

The Brotherhood, Hellfire club and a government sanctioned mutant team are also trying to recruit members for their own purposes. It is all about these groups persuading new mutants to join their cause.

    1. Wolverine – Weapon X / Amnesia Origin. Escapes Weapon X, tries to discover himself. Saves a town from Wendigo. Antagonists: Wendigo, wolves, bears, weapon X soldiers, ect.

    2. Storm – Egypt and African origin. Focus on knive fighting, pick pocketing, and other character aspects. Young Storm fights to survive in Egypt. Controlled by Shadow King. Storm teams up Prof X. Charles kills Shadow King. Storm flees, Charles lets her. Antagonists: Shadow King, marks, merchants, law enforcement, other children.

    3. X-Men – After learning about evil mutants via Shadow King, Prof X forms the X-Men. Focus on Scott’s orphanage origin, missing brother, and Jean’s love interest. Scott loses control of his power and causes public outcry and bigotry against mutant. Charles saves and mentors Scott. Scott finds a home and a father figure and a love interest in Jean. Sinister gets hinted. Classic Brotherhood of Evil Mutants battle. Scott saves his new family. Antagonists: Brotherhood, bigoted humans.

    4. Wolverine – Department H. After his heroics Department H approaches him and offers him a position with them. They even offer to help him with his memories. He declines. Finds a love interest and they live together in rural Canada. Sabretooth learns of Logan through news media of the Wendigo event. Mysterious figure (aka Sabretooth) kills Logan’s love interest a la Silver Fox and taunts Logan with hints of their past. Logan reluctantly reaches out to Dept H to unlock his memories of this killer so he can get revenge. Logan is only partial restored, but he remembers some key aspects of his relationship with Creed. Antagonist: Sabretooth.

    5. All New X-Men – Swap the Krakoa storyline with the original X-Men being captured by the disembodied Shadow King. Xavier and Scott recruits Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, and Nightcrawler to save the other founding members.

With Storm, Cyclops, and Wolverine solidly established start working w/Jean toward the Dark Phoenix Saga. In one movie setup Jean to be Phoenix powered after a fight with Sinister (who would be controlling Scott's brother Havok). Then use Mastermind in a following movie to corrupt Jean's mind resulting in the Dark Phoenix.

X-MEN 1: It would focus on Xavier's orginal roster Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Storm and Angel. I'd have scenes showing Scott and Jean recruiting the other three. Storm is a thief, Beast is a wandering genius, and Angel is the son of a ashamed billionair. Jean and Scott are in the early stages od their relationship and its shown Beast and Storm are attracted to each other. Sentinels are already active, with them having been created in response to attacks from Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutant Supremecy. I'd have it stated that it's been five years sense Magneto and Xavier had there "falling out." Xavier reveals that the twins mother was human who was killed by anti mutant zealots, sending Magneto (who of coarse already had a grudge against mankind) over the edge. Magneto's brotherhood would consist of his children Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Mystique, Mastermind, Toad and Blob. The twins are shown doubting there fathers mission. We would see the X-MEN fighting Sentinels as well as the brotherhood. We would be introduced to General Coy a pro-mtant general trying to have the sentinel program shut down, we also meet his counterpart Donald Pierce and sentinel creator Bolivard Trask. It would climax in the military discovering Magneto's base and sending an army of sentinels to kill him and the brotherhood, Magneto manages to reprogram the sentinels and leads them and the brotherhood on a attack on DC. It ends with Cyclops managing to blast off Magneto's helmet allowing Xavier to shut him down. Magneto is imprisoned, but his brotherhood escape. The sentinels are shut down, and film ends with Xavier and Cyclops looking through Cerebro's list of mutants looking for recruits. In the after credit scene General Coy is scene in a bar hiring a mercenary to act as his personal operative, we see the soldier of fortune in the corner covered in shadow, his identity is revealed when he uses a metal claw to cut a cigar.

X-MEN: Hellfire and Brimstone Opens up six months after the last film, we're shown news footage that catches us up, shows the X-MEN helping rebuild DC, appearing on talkshows, and how government refuses to say where Magneto is being keot, the montage ends with a series of clips dealing with wealthy bisiness owners, including Sebastian Shaw, Selene Gallio, Emma Frost and Donald Pierce (who was introduced in the first film as a backer of the sentinel program), and Warren Worthington II (Angel's fatheer) We get scenes showing us what's been going on with the X-MEN Scott and Jean's relationship strengthening, Beast and Storm becoming a couple, and Angel acting like a cocky playboy, but is feeling deeply lonely. We see Xavier talking to Magneto via a computer, debating snd playing dugital chess. Is revealed Xavier is trying to have the mutant prison hes at shut down. Were shown a mansion in the country side at night surrounded by guards, we see a shadowy figure skillfully infiltrate the mansion, avoiding guards, and neutralizing the security systems. We see him come to a balcony overlooking a meeting consisting of the business owners I named above. We overhear them discuss different business ventures including the sentinel program and we're introduced to a mysterious sixth member, the Scientist Nathaniel Essex. The shadowy visitor records the meeting, until Frost (who senses him) alarms the others, the "visitor" manages to escape but is forced to kill some guards via his claws (revealing himself to be Wolverine). When Shaw asks Frost who he was, she reveals that despite being able to sense him she couldn't read his mind. I would bring in Iceman, his powers activated when he was attacked by bullies, forcing Xavier to bring him to the school. I would have Coy reveals the Hellfire Clubs existence to Xavier, and explains his fears of criminal activity, Xavier reveals that he knows Emma Frost. Angel flirts with Jean but it backfires. Coy introduces the X-MEN to his amnesiac mutant operative Logan/Wolverine, and of course we get the beginings of the conflict between him and Scott. They discuss the HC and its revealed that Frost is a former student (and its hinted that she tried to "steal" Scott from Jean). It culimates with them discovering Pierce using HC funds to build iliegal sentinels, Iceman sneaking onto the mission and proving himself, and Shaw and Frost (who are bith mutants) turning on Pierce, who escapes the final battle. Essex (who during the battle watches Scott and Jean closely) uses a device to teleport away. Emma surrenders to the authorities, most of the Club escapes. Angels father thanks them for revealing the clubs illegal actions and offers Angel a place at their company, prompting Angel to resign from the X-MEN. Wolverine agrees to be Xavier's liason to Coy in exchange for help finding his past, Iceman joins as the X-MEN's first student. We get a two "after credit" scenes, one shows Pierce arriving on a military instillation on the island of Genosha, which is revealed to be the mutant prison which also holds Magneto, Pierce is shown to be in control of the base. The second shows Essex drinking wine and watching a recording of the battle with the X-MEN we see his skin turn pale white and his eye turn red and he smiles.....

X-MEN: Genosha Rising It would open up another six months latter, we get a scene of the X-MEN training in the Danger Room showing us how Iceman's abilities have developed, we're shown Warren working with his father, and we see Wolverine in a NY bar. Were introduced to Kitty Pryde as she's being brought to th e school by her mother. We get some scenes of her being introduced to the present X-MEN, and getting a tour of the mansion. We have a scene of Xavier and Coy talking via a computer screen, where Coy reveals that the government is working on sorting through the Genosha prison, but wants the prison to stay active. Coy then informs him of anti mutant zealots popping up, possibly connected to Pierce, and that a young mutant in Europe has gone missing. We get a scene of Magneto playing chess against a computer, Pierce enters with guards to begin a torture session, Magneto asks how Pierce can still in charge of the prison if he's a wanted. Pierce asks how he knows this, Magneto merely states that he has sources (Mastermind). Xavier sends Cyclopsand Jean to Germany to find the mutant. We'd get scenes showing the track the mutant from the circus he works/lives at to a temporary military base in the mountains. Were the shown that the brotherhood (with new members Pyro and Avalanche), following them with Mastermind hiding them. Were then given some scenes back of Beast and Storm taking Bobby and Kitty on a little trip to NY city that ends with them being attacked by cyborg soldiers, with Storm and Kitty using their powers to short circuit their tech. We have a scene of Xavier talking to Frost via telepathy, where they discuss her potential rehabilitation and how she should have stayed at the school. We see Angel meeting with his father, and the tension between the two breaks into a heated argument thats interrupted by a attack by cyborg soldiers, Angel manages to escape but his father is killed. Meanwhile Logan is sent by Coy to investigate the Genosha prison, during which he discovers, that Pierce has taken it over, he barely manages to escape when cyborg soldiers attack him. Back in Germany we see the other three arrive at the base, but hear gunfire and combat happening inside, they rush in to find the soldiers (some of which are cyborgs) fighting a blue teleporting mutant (Nightcrawler). They join the battle, and with some difficulty defeats them. Jean reads the commanding officers find and discovers that there working for Pierce, and find out he's now in control of Genosha. Jean senses the brotherhood, so the brotherhood attacks them and manages to overpower the smaller X-team. Mystique asks there help in freeing Magneto, but Scott refuses knowing they intend to eventually conquer mankind. The X-MEN (along with Nightcrawler who volunteered his service) regroup at the school where Beast reveals that the cybernetics in the soldiers are based on sentinel tech, and have been augmented to where there shielded from magnetic waves.

@cattlebattle Thanks for saying that. Everyone here is trying to do movies that are loyals to the comics, but they forget to add a touch of creativity. You guys need to remember movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool, and even TV series like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. These are movies/series that dared to try something different than what's already been done, while being loyal to the original content at the same time. Movies like The Last Stand or even Spider-Man 3 were not creative. They didn't try to do something different. I think the success of the 2 previous movies had gone to their heads, so they didn't even try very much.

That being said, here's my pitch. I won't organize it in a number of movies or seasons because it's not really relevant. The important here is the idea.

MUTANTS (or some kind of more general title that doesn't have X-Men in it)

I'd like to see a team of 4-6 young members in the likes of: Quentin Quire (being a kind of leader), Armor, Sunspot, Surge, Anole and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (the Deadpool movie version). These guys are young adults who do some hero stuff, fight bad guys, etc, but they don't really care about the rules. They're not aftraid to hurt people, to cause destruction or even kill. It's not that they think they're better than the rest of the people, but they live in a world where mutants are already hated. They think that nothing they do will change that, so why care?

The movie (let's say it's a movie) will focus on the gang's dynamic as a group of rebels being badass, but also just being friends. We need to understand that first and foremost, they're just a bunch of kids that got together to avoid being persecuted. We NEED to feel that they're a group of friends having fun. That way, while we know that what they're doing (or at least HOW they're doing it) is not right/moral, we are attached to these guys.

The plot really begins when they do something that really exceeds the limits (like destroy a huge building or something), they all get arrested and get thrown in jail. The people from their town now really hates them. While they're in a cell, someone comes to them to break them out. That character is a great leader that will lead them on the right path. It could be Cyclops, Emma, Kitty, I don't care. This new leader trains them to become better persons while recognizing that they're powerful and important as a team.

After that, a bigger threat (but not that big) appears in their town and they have to fight it. A great battle occurs, and they win, restoring the people's faith in them. They now become a real team of heroes which can lead to other movies/seasons.

There is a balance that needs to be reached. I agree that there needs to be creative tweaks to make things interesting, but the characterizations and major plot points should be from the source material the majority of the time. Game of Thrones does this properly. The X-Men, IMO, does not. For example, in DoFP replacing Kitty with Wolverine was a creative tweak that wasn't needed. The Studio just wanted to keep everyone on the Jackman bandwagon without letting other characters grow. I personally believe that is the biggest flaw with these movies, they rely on their stars: Jackman, Stewart, and Lawrence way too much.

Take the MCU for example. I had no idea who Anthony Mackie was before watching those movies. I didn't even like the Falcon. There was creative tweaks (mainly background and tech), but the comic partnership between Cap and Falcon was honored despite Mackie not being a major star.

I would have to disagree about the Last Stand and Spider-Man 3 not being creative enough vs. the source comics. They were just crappy renditions.

@knighthood: I completely agree with you! There's a line between creativity vs source material, and it's the writers' job to find it. I think it's just pretty hard to do. I'm tired to see the same actors in the X-verse, just like you. But I don't think it's true that the MCU doesn't rely on their stars. Yes, Anthony Mackie wasn't a very popular actor before doing Falcon, but Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson were already HUGE stars before joining the MCU. I don't have anything against them in particular though, I think they almost all did great in their role.

But in general, we pretty much agree on the same stuff! I don't want to start a big debate on creativity and stuff, we could go for days! Loved trying to write a plot for a new X-movie!

While I do agree about the X-Men films relying too much on star power, I think Wolverine being the character that goes back in time made sense in DoFP. Because he was extremely long lived he was the best choice because he was actually alive in the 70s as Kitty Pryde and many of the other X-Men were not.

Wolverine being sent back in time made sense because he was the only remaining relevant charecter from the original trilogy. It wouldn't of really felt like they were linking the two trilogies together if they would of used Kitty since she wasn't a established charecter.

It did make sense. They managed to make it work. But I do get people who are disappointed by this creative change.

@cattlebattle: don't gots to replace them entirely. don't think even the comics went that way either. if I recall after giant size which was the first major change up some of the original characters stuck around for a bit. somebody feel free to correct me here read that stuff a long time ago. but .....whatever man I think with good creativity interesting stories can be retold. im quite sure additions and omissions will have to be done cuz aint nobody expecting the same stories from the 60s to play out on the big screen exactly as they did back then in the books that would be impossible unless done in a really cool looking animated series or something. things that already exist in comic books even as prominent as marvel can still be entertaining to watch. Many folk don't read comics and don't plan to start anytime soon but would raid the piggy bank to watch a marvel flik, no harm in telling the story from the beginning it would still be totally new to certain crowds. I think the MCU films and Series are doing a great job. characters tone story ect are pretty similar to what you've been reading for decades with a dash of "what would it be like if it were real and happening in 2000something" a few changeups here and there and screw ups as well but what body of work doesn't have that. At the end of the day it all depends on the work done by the producer, Director, Actors and what not a talented cast can wear yellow and blue uniforms yellow spandex with a pointy eared mask, do the floating wheelchair even, and take them to the savage land to fight the likes of garrok and zala ... and still give the audience a great show.

I don't want to insult anyone....I guess its going to come off like that anyways, lol, but a lot of these just sound like dreadful ideas. Everybody basically wants to see exactly what happened in the comics...which kind of negates the whole "comic film adaption" thing.

Also, Its kind of boring if you already know whats going to happen?? Isn't it??

The only reason everyone is putting the O5 is because people know it from the comic. Thats it.....and thats dumb. A movie series should build characters and relationships throughout the films. Like Star Wars or Toy Story or something like that. How absolutely dumb would it be to introduce the O5 in the first film and then totally replace half the cast in the second film?? It would be pointless. Oh but wait...it happened in the comics so whatever I guess.
