X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13419 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Do you like X-23 more than Wolverine?
Wolverine. He was consistently one of the most interesting X-Men from the late 70s to the early 90s. I lost interest in him during the 90s. He left the team and his solo by Larry Hama was boring. In the 2000s he has been hit or miss depending on the writers, with the biggest hits being Claremont and Kyle & Yost.
I haven't been able to get into X-23. Her early solos and New X-Men was boring to me. I did like X-Force, but again couldn't get into her solo that followed the series.
Wolverine when writers weren't taking the piss with him. X-23 when they were taking the piss with Wolverine. Now that she is all there is, they are taking the piss with her and making her generic teen hero #2,354 in some issues, and Wolverine lite in others.
i really dislike most of wolverine since hte movies, they over saturated him and he was written by so many different writers he was a walking contradiction never more apparent then in AVX, and i really like X 23. Still as an over all body of work i have to give the nod to logan although im fine with him being dead and really could live without OML
No I don't like her better. Wolverine is the original and that's my preference. I don't hate X23 and actually thought her story was pretty decent. But she should stay X23 and Logan should be Wolverine. No replacing and all that
seems like that is kind of a personal topic for you bro :-p
Wolverine for me. He's the start of it all for me. He has cool powers, a tragic background, and the ultimate bad-ss (other than Punisher). I only liked X-23 after the X-Force run. Both are cool but Wolvie been the OG character for me.
Got to go with the original. Wolverine is 43 years old and has been in some of the best X-Men comics ever written. X-23 is only 13 years old. She can't compete.
I prefer X-23. Although, to be fair, I've simply read more X-23 than I have Wolverine.
That said, I wasn't a fan of the movie version.
I love them both, slightly favouring X-23, but Marvel has basically butchered them.
Laura lost a lot of what made her cool in the new wolverine series. I could have imagine her becoming something like that, but because Bendis can't write a decent story to save his life, there wasn't much development from her getting to where she is. And Gabbie is just...she's just a dumb idea. The new writer doesn't know what he is doing either. A lot of his choices in the book are straight up garbage, but that's just my personal opinion about it.
As for Logan, I don't think they should have ever revealed his past. Wolverine is far more fantastic when he is sort of an enigma. Revealing bits and pieces to add layers to the character is fine, but now that his origin is established, it's very easy to find misconceptions and fallacies with new "...from the past" stories. I'm glad he is dead (along with the Hulk), that way they are safe from bad writing.
